Absolutely not.

Then I better start downloading some missions :) What would be the must haves, in short order?

Almost all missions aer very enjoyable. There are some where I think it may be a matter of taste. If you didn't played TDM yet I would suggest to download the smaller missions first.

A very good mission is too late. If you like rooftop missions, then the phrase book should be your choice (all missions by sotha are actually quite good). Bikerdude's missions are good, too. And once you've played a couple of missions, you should definetely try Springheel's a score to settle.

Oh, and of course my FM's are the best ;)

Anyway, the FM's are just simple archives. If you don't have an internet connection, you can also download them somewhere else and copy them into the fms folder inside the darkmod folder. Every archive needs to go in its own subfolder. The name of those folders doesn't matter, but it makes sense to use the same name as the archive has.

Enjoy.

Awww Sweet Times with thief gold! Was playing it summer nights through the mounth or so... Mansion of Konstantine, Bafford's Estate, Bonehoard, Opera House - true Ambrosios for eyes and ears! (Shed a tear of joy here for a moment...)Thief gold is full of lore, i'd go for tg, and then tds. Luckily they have them all three on steam sale

What excuse do we have not to sculpt, and sculpt, and sculpt, until the job is done?

Are there any links to these? I've only seen a couple. And do any of them explain on where to place them once downloaded and such?

You can use the ingame downloader or download them here. As said, place those files in their own subfolder in the fms folder in your TDM folder. If you use the ingame downloader, you don't have to do anything, they are already placed correctly.

I've tried tried tried and tried and I just can't like it. Apart from the awesome Life of the Party I just don't like T2. I'm a T1 guy and always will be. Please give me the zombies and monsters from the Maw over those loud clumsy robots and akarass's goofy voice any day. I prefer T3 and T2x over T2 easily. T1 trumps them all though. It is quite simply a work of art.

Not unzip them, then place. Just move whole file into fms folder after downloaded correct?

Correct! That's exactly how I do it. Don't worry about making a subfolder. TDM automatically does that for you when you start the FM.

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
