Wave function collapse

Just saw this on 'Tube. I am curious. Has anyone thought of/tried/done TDM mapping using this wave function collapse algorithm?

For those new to the algorithm, here is a good quick description:

I've been watching too many quantum physics videos. I thought you were gonna talk about the collapse of quantum wave functions.

But anyway, Tels made an algorithm that made a procedural dungeon for his own TDM branch. I don't know what the relationship was to this algorithm, but the result sort of looked like this.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

It's funny that on the date (21 september) Tels posted that topic where-in he made a reference to Legend of Grimrock, that same day user@Komagposted his first video Legend of Grimrock EDITOR TUTORIAL pt1 (first of 8 video's).

Coincidence?

(sorry this is kind of off-topic)

I'll upload the old Dungeon of Doom demo to Moddb so anyone interested can play around with it.

I believe BloodRayne back in the Doom3world days also made a procedural map generator, I'll see if that is up anywhere where I can post it.

Please visit TDM's IndieDB site and help promote the mod:

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
