  1. What is a spline mover? And i think I'm going to have to abandon that door, didn't think it would cause me so much grief haha
  2. Thanks for the help Sotha and Dragofer, I will try this later on today and hopefully come back with good news! And Obsttorte: I set the rotate spawnarg to many things trying to get it to work, like 90 0 0, -90 0 0, -45 0 0, etc but none of those seemed to work.
  3. It's not so much the AI i'm worried about in that particular area, but after all the trouble this #$@! door has given me, I might have to do what your suggesting.
  4. So, I'm working on this door that comes out of a basement at an angle and I can't get the door to open properly. I've scoured tutorials and the forums but couldn't find an answer.   9. So, I'm currently working on an FM and building a small flooded area. Is there a way to make models or brushes float on water (I haven't found anything on the wikis)? It's not terribly important, its just for detail and immersion. Thanks.
  10. After three days of trying to figure out why my WIP would keep crashing after dmap, I finally found out it was because of a stupid door...a door.

      Too late this time by the sound of it, but for future ref please let me take a look at crashing maps. Usually the cause is easy to spot in a debug build, which can save you some frustrating searching and means we get a chance to fix the cause.

      Happened to me too. It sure reinforces the lesson you need to start outside areas with VPs worked out first, before anything else.

  14. Hey guys, I'm fairly new to these forums and to the Dark Radiant world in general. I've been spending the past few months working (slowly) on a map and learning how DR works. I know this question has been answered in this thread before but for the life of me I still can't figure it out how to do it. Can someone give me a step by step on how to make moon lit windows like these: Thanks!
  15. Melan: Thank you for the suggestions, I am currently learning how to use patches to make uneven terrain and small puddles, ponds, etc.. The line of even mud is definitely on my list of things to work on.

I've been spending the past month learning how to use Dark Radiant and while I still have much to learn and miles to go before I can actually release an FM, this is what I've come up with so far and I thought I'd share it with you guys. Please feel free to comment on what I can work on if you want. Also, on a side note; Melan, I'm really looking forward to your next FM, the screenshot looked great!
