  11. Quickest way to test all the RIT your WIP AI are doing? Set "timescale N", where N>1. Hilarity ensues. Little tippy-tapping feetie sounds as they scurry around your map are certain to put a smile on your face.

  14. I have recently just discovered The Dark Mod and i would like to applaud the developers and everyone who has contributed to level design and voice acting etc. as this is a phenomenal mod. Congratulations, i can't wait to hear more.

  16. Now I see what I was doing wrong whole time: I've reduced to minimum (by monster_clip) areas where AI can wander -and dmaping went down from eternity to only few minutes. For some reason AAS was computed even if areas are at different level than AI, even behind walls.

      Yeah, a good monsterclipping job leaves the AI a bunch of tunnels to walk through. All monsterclip should extend up to the ceiling above, to eliminate places dmap thinks AI can go, but which they can't reach. Extending upward also prevents problems around elevators.

  17. Its funny how there's usually a simple solution to a mechanical problem. I got a used case where one of the holes for screws on the expansion slots is ruined. Standard screws will not go in, and bigger ones won't either. So I just used one of the million MB standoffs on the backside to give it something to screw into. Problem solved! It doesn't even block any ports on the video card.

      I submitted a test map showing lots of uses with the sound changes back when. darkmod/maps/test/playersound.map
