Do Objectives change number based on difficulty?

The following is from the Objectives wiki regarding exit objectives:

Please note that you need to create a separate exit objective for each difficulty level, since the enabling objective numbers change with difficulty levels.

Is this correct? If I have an Objective #3 that is only for Expert difficulty, does that mean Objective #4 becomes Objective #3 when played on Easy? I have a hard time believing that it works that way, as that would make keeping track of mandatory objectives quite cumbersome. Can someone confirm if this is, in fact, the case?

Personally I think it works better to have one topic per topic. That way you can see the sort of question at a glance and know if you can help or indeed, know if you can't help. It also helps way in the future if you are searching. Some of the big threads meander on hundreds of topics and if they get stuck on some non-editing thing for days and weeks I tend not to even read them.

Yep, what Fidcal said. Our search engine is lousy, so finding things buried in beginner megathreads gets very difficult.

And when it comes to mapping, I'm as much a beginner as anyone. ;)

This might only refer to cases where more mandatory objectives get added at higher difficulty levels. Not ongoing objectives like "don't kill anyone," but extra objectives like "also steal the valuable spyglass." Because then you'd have to add this to the enabling objectives of the "exit mission" objective, otherwise it would let you exit/end the mission without completing this extra mandatory objective.

Edit: also, what MD posted will fail the mission if you kill rats, spiders or undead, too. You may want to change to specifying by AI group and choose humans instead.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
