how to add portal in DarkRadiant

the portal which use to reduce the brush that can't see. I make two room and link the two room by corridors. then use doom.exe to run it. And input " r_showPortals 1 " commond. but I can't saw the portal frame in the game.

I'm not sure what you mean, but check the wiki for "a-z tutorial" that should cover the basics. The wiki is accessible from the top buttons on this forum.

You need to create a visportal to stop the second room from rendering. Make a thin brush in the corridor that touches the floor, both walls, and the roof, then click Brush -> Make Visportal (I think), and DR will do the work for you. This portal should then show up with that command.

The portal will not show up with the cvar if it is broken for some reason, e.g., if one side of the portal is not touching or inside a brush but touching open air, or if the two rooms it separates are not sealed from each other (an internal leak), or if one of the side-textures is not "no draw", etc... There are a few things that can break a portal.

@ffoieoi, if you still cant figure it out, put a link to your map and I will have a look at it to see whats what.

in game the portal will either be a green or red outlined retangle if "r_showPortals 1" has been used in the console, if you cant see these than its what everyone said above as why its not appearing.
