I just spotted this when working with 2.06 ...

post-3633-0-63582100-1539437838_thumb.jpg

The candle is inside the front face of the window frame, and it's only lighting up a portion of the upper inside curved patch of the frame.

It should be lighting up the entire patch.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

I tried switching the stone texture to a wood texture, but the results were the same.

Thanks.

Yes, but normally only after I have done a model export in DR. Is the above image a model or just a brush & patch based FS..?

If it is an exported model, was it .LWO, if so export .ASE and see if that makes a difference.

Brush and patch.

If I move the candle to the outside of the frame and light the upper exterior frame patch, it lights correctly.

The problem is only with the inner patch.

There have been some problems with curved patch behavior lately. Converting it to a model usually gets around the problem, but I don't think the cause has been identified.

I converted the brush and patch entity to an *.lwo model and the model works correctly.

just a heads up on exporting to .LWO in DR, I have found that any existing round or cylindrical models that were .LWO or .ASE, that exported as .LWO loose thier smooth vertices shading.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.

I moved from Manjaro Linux (rolling release) to Linux Mint (LTS). One of the reasons was that I found the updates a bit too often and long. But now on Mint I get updates every day, although they're usually small updates.
