sparhawk 17
I can't see much. From the little I could see it could look not so bad, but I turned up my monitor all the way and still doesn't see much. Quote Gerhard
Domarius 2
It's okay. Maybe if you had some concept art to go off it might show your skills better? We had a drawing of a tavern, and mappers made some really good versions of it. Quote Domarius' To Do listDomarius' videos of completed anims
Pablo_Messier 0
So you want to see some other screens right ?
New Horizon 539
So you want to see some other screens right ? Yes, but please adjust the brightness/ contrast of your screens so we can see the details. As it stands, all I can see right now is blackness.
Springheel 4676
How dark do you guys have your monitors? I can make out everything quite clearly. OrbWeaver 663
It depends on the environment too. I can just about see the dark areas on my bright LCD in a dimly-lit room, but I wouldn't bank on being able to see much on a standard CRT in a brightly-lit office, for instance. sparhawk 17
Now I can see better. My CRT had to warm up first. It's a bit old but I have to safe for a decent LCD first. Looks good IMO. What do our mappers say? Quote Gerhard

Pablo_Messier 0
Allright i will post it with brightness so you can see how i map soon.
Dram 123
Those candles look nice. The walls etc look blockyish, but hell, I made worse in the beginning hehe. I like the atmosphere you have there, though you could really do better with more castleish textures (the default ID wall bricks are not so nice) - this is of course not your fault as D3 comes with metal and hell pretty much, and with our textures it would look splendid. It would be nice if we could see some more, though. ATM I think it's pretty good How long have you been mapping btw? If you improve even more (which you no doubt will), I think you could pull off some pretty nice things with the assets we have atm. Also, you know thief right? (I have to ask hehe) @The rest of the Team: I can make out details fine, though it's night here.
Dram 123
Just looked at them again. I notice you're using patches pretty well Something that took me ages to use properly If you can show more screenies that are this quality or better, you have my vote BTW, are you applying for beta mapper or team mapper? Dram 123
Sorry for the late reply - I've been having router problems. Looking at those they are quite nice, third pic is most impressive The first two pics are good, and I'm sure you'd do much better with proper textures and all Also, as I asked before, are you applying for beta mapper or team mapper? Beta Mapper won't be mapping the campaign further down the track and basically has no real deadlines to follow and all, while a Team member will work on the campaign and has deadlines (sort of anyways) etc. I think I wrote a more in depth difference somewhere else. In any case, the map pics you posted could sure benefit from static meshes etc such as tables and the sorts, our mod of course has those, so I'm picturing you map with better textures and things like chairs, tables etc.
sparhawk 17
Dram, we don't have a campaign at the moment. Quote Gerhard
Gildoran 0
I like the D3 screenshot. It looks like you're competent with patchwork and can use textures well. What do the lightcounts on that look like?
