Oh yes, I'm a lucky man to have Wife who games, develops websites .... and a hottie too! wink.gif

So we did the whole training missions ..... took about 4 hours taking our time .... the archery range is very fun ... I never got bullseye on the fourth, but could hit the target aiming at the chimney on the roof behind it .... I could not believe the steep angle of the arrows that did hit the fourth target! All in all the training is fantastic! - so much to read ... I enjoy reading everything because I know that someone took the time to write it ...

The physics when knocking out a guard are perfect ... he just slumps back exactly the way you would expect ... TDS has 'rubbery' physics sometimes. ... oh and so glad to drag a leg or arm or head rather than over the shoulder and slow .... I alomst leaned him up against a wall ... I would like to be strong enough to set him up like he was sleeping .... then instead of having to hide his body, if he was 'propped up' the other guards would think he was sleeping one off!

I love the lampshade reflection on the ceilings!

I love holding the candles and bringing one with me to explore safe areas!

Textures on walls, wood textures, light through windows inside is gorgeous, and when your outside, the soft yellow glow of light from inside is just great!

Rope swinging is fun and VERY useful (obviously) works like a charm!

Potion bottles up close are SO detailed!

Guard models, and outfits/skins and voices are best ever! so amazingly detailed! - I guess that's one reason why you choose the doom3 engine ... ID rocks anyways.

Overall it is tougher than TDS ... and that's what I would expect in thief evolution ... very challenging and that's the fun ... when I'm in a shadow, and the guard looks right over at me while walking buy tells me that I could be a little deeper in the shadow ....

the bricks ... my god the detail ...

Spyglass = Thank-You!

This guy woke up and went back to bed ... I placed candles around him to show he can levitate in his sleep! - Love it! - Spooky!

All 1920 x 1200 4x 4x screens here:

A couple items I would like to mention:

A link to the EXACT Doom3 patch needed: (I have it on my server here:)

www.mainecustomdesign.com/tdm/DOOM3-1.3.1.exe

The Downloads come in as .zip, but the instructions say they are .pk4 ... i hunted and gave up. Luckily I had the mind to rename the .zips to .pk4 and all went well after that, but there is no mention of the fact that you might have to rename the map files.

FOV control? My res is so high, and my monitor is so large, and my eyesight isn't what it was ... I usually run my games at FOV 65 -70 ....

No Thief goes thiefing with tap shoes on .... maybe a softer leather sound? It gets annoying when returning through 'safe' areas at a quick pace ....

More later as we attempt to finish patently_dangerous! - Thanks again so much! .. .SO fun!

:)

Glad you enjoy TDM!

The screenshots from you look pretty sharp (except the carpet texture), glad someone found the right settings for anisotropic :)

The ZIP => PK4 problem only happens with IE (and our download page should have warned you), please use a real browser like Firefox, Opera, Safari or Google Chrome :)

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
