  1. So, do i need to install the SneakyUpgrade, in order to install the Gold patch? It says it acts just like a FM in the readme file. But i have no idea how to install a FM in T3...
  2. Nice. 4th playthrough coming up. Great that the Gold patch is only 21.4 MB big too.
  3. That would be my suspicion too. Looks much like there's something wrong with it.
  4. I know this has already been posted somewhere (i think someone had it in his profile messages or something), but here's a link to the site of the people revamping Deus Ex with reworked levels, music and what not: http://www.dx-revision.com/website/ Alone for the soundtrack, it'll be worth playing it... i'm really stunned at the professionalism of the reworked level tracks. Awesome stuff really. Bit of a shame though they didn't use a newer graphics engine though. The graphics look pretty dated now... nice work on the level design though.
  5. Confirmed in Old Habits II. It's in the corner of the hallway that leads to a door, which is not openable, and to the door to a guard quarter. The guard is sitting on a chair at a table, in a niche, and there's a window to the courtyard, and a shelf, if i remember right. Actually the guard is stuck there, and prevented me from snatching some loot in that niche. He stands up, on top of the chair, is stuck there, walks a couple of steps on the spot, and sits down on the back of the chair again. I guess he's suppoed to patrol the hallway.
  6. Wow, that really gave me goose bumps. Looking forward to play it.
  7. I think i like the alert state of guards after being pickpocketed the best. It really added much to the atmosphere in TDS, even though there wasn't even a really alert state, just a vocal reaction.
  8. Some very interesting new features, i'll be glad to check it out. Grats on the release.
  9. +1 Same here, i'm just the total loser. I can't code, i can't map, i can't draw. I only can play.
  10. Nice little mission, was fun to play. Got all loot, and a stealth score of 5 on expert difficulty. One small issue: I got caught on the only dark spot in the kitchen, in the corner between the 2 doors, i wouldn't have expected the guard to go exactly there, after coming from library/living room. One could hide in the kitchen cabinet of course, but the way to it is long and there's much light. Apart from that, all very nice, storytelling (i think you have a nice touch for readables, the mission intro was just right), atmosphere, and mission/mansion structure, all very good. Looking forward to play Breaking out the fence now.
  11. Yep, i found Requiem to be one of the toughest missions... especially at the end.
  12. And another time, Thief 1-3 bundle very cheap on gog.com: http://www.gog.com/p..._thief_classics Hard not to buy some games this summer on GOG or Steam. Nevermind, didn't see the offer had ended yet...
  13. I chose better, because some maps lagged in some places. Not sure though if it had a big impact on performance, i also set the AA settings and the anisotropy a bit lower at the same time.
  14. Alright. I think i don't have the Director's Cut, never ran into issues in the game. Though i would have hoped they cut the boss scenes out. I mean, you skill all stealth augs, do a non-lethal approach, and then it's all for the waste when you have to do the boss fights. Btw, people who want to buy it now, take care... it just went from 4.99€ to 9.99€, because the first sale has ended, and now it's only 50% off instead off 75% off as it was before...
  15. For 4.99€ on Steam atm: http://store.steampowered.com/app/238010/
  16. Nice, i bought this some weeks ago, but didn't really play much yet. Looking forward to do so now
  17. Lords & Legacy, Requiem, Flakebridge Monastery, Somewhere above the city, Bikerdude's St. Alban missions, Return to the city, Fiasco at Fauchard Street, The Crown of Penitence, The Gatehouse, the Thomas Porter and William Steele series, all great missions. Depends a bit on your likings too, from classic thievery to horror missions, or puzzle stuff like the Gatehouse, which is one of my favourites actually, there's all sorts of stuff.
  18. Sorry for hijacking this thread, but System Shock II is very cheap atm on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/238210/ I used to own it on CD, but sold it years ago on eBay, so i got p***ed off one day, when i wanted to play it. Bought it now, and it works nicely, even with widescreen on my Windows 8.1 machine.
  19. Some TDM maps run choppy even on nowadays high end machines...
  20. Game looks excellent, but OMG @ the guy. Here's the whole playlist btw: The world looks very nice.
  21. Yes, Risen 2 didn't really motivate me to go on playing, when arriving on the 3rd island... Risen 1 was really cool, i loved it. I hope Risen 3 will be more like part 1 again.
  22. Just out of interest: Why is it necessary to install and execute TDM using Wine? I thought it runs natively under Linux?
