don't ever let the AI send a drone swarms to scammer location/whereabout

let's call it a troll AI , AI steals my heart this time let's make a ( just name it) 'SamaritanX AI' capable of replicating Jim Browning's work next time(which i doubt)... just don't give the AI access to drone ground control station, EO/IR targetting and laser designator system, flying ginsu weapon or High Powered Microwave missile

will dxvk and support for older games improve in the battlemage version? i fully understand that arc driver is no intel HD driver Intel Arc battlemage price is quite a bit different where I live here than out there. The estimated difference can be 40-50 dollars. Perhaps it's better to ask my friend who is working abroad to buy it(B570) and send it to me when he comes back here The dilemma is the pricing between Australian or US dollar(I hope my acquaintance knows the best pc parts shop near the oregon-california area) *edit for the high end tier the difference can be $100-$150 , quite amazing pricing in singapore or malaysia : 0 difference

Are there any games out there where we play as an invasive species?

some iconic quotes / monologues in thief game: Maybe it was rats. Rats would be a bit of meat now and then... "rats...only rats" "Rats would be wise to scary elsewhere..." until you suss rats can have taffing phase as well... an underrated gem

Nice 2u chassis , It doesn't seem like an insane idea to use this case for a regular pc i got a HPE Proliant and Dell EMC PowerEdge throwback... The high pitched fan noise, scheduled Air Conditioners operation, server PDUs, those blinking managed switches, etc On the other hand, I'm sad that products like Pcengines and Soekris pc boards are discontinued. another problem is when some brands are not shipping to certain countries, and how do we become authorized distributors or rsellers (i'm inspired by my uncle who managed to become an authorized distributor & supplier of several industrial tool brands)

lucrative business that targets thieves in TDM world : wardrobe heaters to dry their smelly robes in their respective thieves hideouts.

but it just adds more layer of difficulty, it adds alot to player's plate

Inspired by smell mechanic's post, I realized mechanical watcher can't hear sound/voice at all, so is it better to add sime kind of phased array microphone for acoustic source localization?

or utilize the existing plague mask and fill it with camphors

It looks like the inventor guild will need more funding to produce more respirators and gas masks and players will spend half of their loot just to buy those (on player side). Don't forget to make a recurring vision blackout animation when Corby can no longer stand the smell. The inventor guild should also create a parfume potion to eliminate the stench in minutes (on player side) Another idea is to allow players to carry spare robes for infiltration, imagine that much and heavy loot alone can fit and can be carried by players everywhere, let alone just a robe? 1 more idea: The thief take a shower in a place that is being infiltrated by applying the principle of stealth, the sound of splashing shower water can be heard by guards " A sewer never looked so appealing" ~garrett " lord's manor bathroom never looked so appealing"

yeah i mean s/pdiff Does soundbar use the same s/pdiff? sometimes s/pdif is interwoven with toslink electronics stores are selling TVs with soundbar bundles now By the way I have a funny moment: snapped at by my dad when I almost broke the moving part of the Nakamichi rx-202. This was unique and badass in its time : I never had the chance to see an amplifier with a VU meter. For some reason, when I was a kid, I loved playing with those moving parts. There was a pioneer CD/Laser disc player as well , I liked to forcefully pull out the tray

I'm still figuring out what's the best way to connect a pc to such amplifier, maybe USB->DAC->AMP? I don't know. I also have to inspect if this amp has optical input apart from RCA (some don't even have usb input). My father likes to collect amplifiers like this (and some Manual equalizers too), the speakers used are aiwa & bowers and wilkins(B&W). I actually prefer bookshelf speakers to tower speakers like that. The problem is that he still likes to play music with physical media (Audio CD). Now it's my job to be able to play it via PC. Not to mention the CD ripping process. I don't mind if one day I have to purchase songs in lossless format. Unfortunately he didn't fully pass on his audio skills to me, I was just amazed when he could find the 'right' sound when turning the equalizer knob and tuning the amplifier. He also learned a lot from his friends who own an audio shop. I used to look for this sound difference with IEM

I've never used that much pci-e lanes so far. Other than the gfx I only plan to add an Intel I3XX or X5xx(with SFP port, quite perfect for homelab) series ethernet card and possibly a soundcard (this can be replaced with a USB DAC. I also need decent speakers to connect to it)

X chipset is not for Intel exteme edition only (mainly i7), how come i overlooked that . Such config is quite futureproof Intel has moved to i9 for their HEDT lineup , quite confusing at first. I also heard that there are other workstation motherboard brands, for example Asus WS series for workstation needs (besides these two brands). Looks like I need to survey more about workstation motherboards like that. If I build a server, I always want to install proxmox or esxi there and the next step is run some programs in containers. The feel is really different compared to non-server pc setup.

i want to drop an excellent article about AMD Zen architecture here : https://old.chipsandcheese.com/2024/09/15/discussing-amds-zen-5-at-hot-chips-2024/ I like chipsandcheese websites, sometimes it's overly technical but it might be useful there are many terms that I'm not familiar with but it's quite educational all hail Jim Keller . Wish there are more interviews about him
