  1. http://www.moddb.com/mods/thievious I believe that this, sir, is the mod you might be looking to watch for multiplayer thieving shenanigans! =3 Don't mind Shadowhide, he's a real ray of sunshine. =-P Welcome and glad that you love the mod!
  2. Oof, sorry, I've got it sorted now - It was just deleting things like that converted Quake 4 map or other "in progress" maps I didn't want in the menu! =-3 As for the green tick, one other person pointed this out: In Sotha's Vertical Tower mission, I've completed it, even reloaded the game and completed it again - and no green tick appears after I get the mission complete screen. No other mission does this, which is weird.
  3. Yeah nbor, I'm a bit confused - is it considered bugged or in need of more beta testing on the behalf of the author? I'm downloading now! I can't believe how many good FMs there are, frankly.
  4. Just read your post on TTLG comparing the vibrant Sotha missions with the "coasting" missions that are sought out by an ungrateful hardcore for the original Thief.

    Couldn't agree more!

  5. Ah, yes - sorry, didn't realise how easily buried comments were in people's profiles! Will use the forum from now on. Thanks for the reply! Please understand that it was a simple enquiry, and not a demand! x-D And you've answered it smartly - partial campaigns wouldn't really work as a release. They would have to be complete before hand - which is an even bigger committment than creating an FM in the first place! Mind you, I'd replay all the Thomas Porter missions if you did put them into a campaign! =-3
  6. Ooh, exciting! Even if the water is hellish to work with - I will greatly appreciate it - Along with the undead / lost city types, levels with water sections or themes really tick my boxes. =-P
  7. Loving that graveyard column! The more assets that The Dark Mod has access to, the better! =-3
  8. I searched for uninstalling FMs on the wiki but couldn't find anything on it :-X I've got missions in my list I've tried uninstalling in the game - - and when that didn't work deleting them manually and refreshing but they still persist - I've got a defunct version of St. Alban's Cathedral next to the working one I want to get rid of. =-D Am I missing something super obvious? Usually I do!
  9. Pretty mind blowing for a first post Skacky! Do you have experience with other level editors / DromEd?
  10. Hey Shadow! Played it through this afternoon. Massively, massively ambitious for a first FM - you're braver than me! x-D Rest in "spoilers" I think
  11. I think that PC Gamer UK has covered the mod a couple of times --- The writers now write the RockPaperShotgun website, which has a weekly mod roundup. Good idea to keep them informed whenever there's an update or a big FM release. =3
  12. We know, Tels, and we're deeply, deeply grateful for it as it stands right now. =-3
  13. Ha! I was thinking that if I get time sometime I should transcribe / scan the first few pages of Perdido Street Station and put it on the forum - as it's a perfect clockwork punk / steampunk hellish City monologue / description! =-P
  14. Hey DD! I just have your soundtracks open in the background and like them! I think you did a fine job trying to capture some of the very subtle ambient tracks from the original Thief games.
  15. Hello, Chris! Speaking just as a fan and not a mod contributor - I'm afraid I'm absolutely in love with the current Main Menu music that's in TDM right now - in fact it's what sold me on the "atmosphere" of the weird clockwork-punk world. That said, I thought perhaps this post by Fidcal in another thread would explain why it's the way it is with the music box to start with: That being said - I love your work you linked to! A very nice dark ambient track - it reminds me of the wonderful main menu music for the first Aliens Vs. Predator game.
  16. I think TDM is a big improvement on Thief in just how hard you have to work to find nice trinkets like discarded jewels / rings - I found a real bit of pleasure in one FM where I found letters urging someone to hide a paganish ring - I searched his office and just saw it glinting at the bottom of a tall amphora! I know what you mean - but I think it's each according to his desires when building a FM. My suspension of disbelief is stretched in mansion FMs I play where I am lugging round about 20 /solid gold/ statues of lions and rattly plates / cutlery / GIANT TROPHIES without making any noise. =-P The worst bit of loot is without a doubt the vintage wines. I used to walk quite a distance to get my bottles of ale from the supermarket up the hill when I didn't have a car - and lugging multiple glass bottle of fluid about is exhausting and noisy in the best of circumstances - also - when did our psuedo-Garretts get such a good eye for picking out the best vintages? ;-P I take great joy in finding those little rings - necklaces, tiny bags of gems. When I learn DR I hope to leave readable clues and leave smaller stashes in places - with a low loot threshold. Just my personal response. =3
  17. I'd /love/ to have some voiced pagans! Would be great to have some for a flooded / pagan quarter FM.
  18. Another Melan / Bikerdude collab. would be deeply righteous!
  19. @Melan Just finished a playthrough this afternoon on Easy - I think I must have missed a couple of things as I only just got the right amount of loot! Overall didn't find any problems - if there were bad portals or wonky textures I didn't notice any myself - it all seemed perfectly solid, beautiful incidental architecture street wise - and the hopping between different locations made me feel like a real thieving magpie! >:-3 Top stuff and an inspiration to snappy mapping!
  20. Ooh! Really lookin' forward to giving this a go - will download it tomorrow. Great job, Melan! =3
  21. I had a dream last night that I played it but it was so full of zombies even I couldn't get past the first section! x-D
