So you don't use Openshot anymore, or you don't do the slide transitions? Btw. which version of Openshot are you using?

Nice to see you're an official Contributor now.

I wonder if it could be useful for translation. So if you frob or hover your mouse on something it will show a translation, instead of translating everything in-game. This way the original shown text is preserved.

If you finished System Shock and you want mooore: I posted about this a while ago but one guy from systemshock.org is working on his own System Shock remaster (build with Unity engine). Here is a (new) teaser video for version 0.99.5 beta: Gameplay seen from 0:29 (warning: spoilers) Btw. Nightdive gave him permission.

I think it could be a super cool feature. You can also have the player comment on items.

So (maybe) you need a gui that is always active that shows the entity name every time an entity is frobbed. This only works when the entity is properly named (so not atdm_moveable_ball_spiked_large_2 for example). But maybe you think of an addon to include a bunch of alternative names for the entities of a specific mission?
-
I think it's up to the mapper to include specific chosen names for specific movables.
-
Movable entities have a name spawnarg. It just doesn't show up in the game. So I have no idea what you mean. You propose an always active gui that lists the entity name when you point your cursor on it?

Some days ago after playing I had this idea of a new System Shock game, xcom style where you fight the attack after Shodan succesfully spread it's virus after the laser attack on earth. So an alternative universe. I read now the Kick had a similar idea: “But we've talked about exploring the System Shock universe in different genres. Maybe an XCOM-like that takes place before the events of System Shock 1, where you're the resistance on Citadel Station, fighting SHODAN’s cyborgs and machines.” https://www.techradar.com/features/why-nightdive-studios-is-the-perfect-developer-for-the-system-shock-remake

Yeah also how the fending machines work. You insert the coin, open a panel under it and take the stuff. Took me a while to figure that out. Also the recycle station. I first thought I had to drop items in the hole, but after a while I found there's an inventory part on the side where you have to drop them. Also: You know those games where you can play the demo and when you install the full version, it preserves your game progress from the demo? This isn't one of those games..

X-ray glasses is a core feature, so I think the fix should be applied to core. I suggest opening a bug report with your fix.

There are other sites to share your video.

You can report posts / topics. I don't know if it helps, but mods might see it sooner

Maybe it's Dutch. From a Belgian submitter (Flanders?). Window arch (gothic)

How is it useful? Well you could convert it into a light prefab? For those you can't see the light radius I think.
-
It is. I added it there. With a link to moddb where it can still be downloaded. Search for "Q4 Conversion: Yan's Test". It links to: https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-dark-mod/addons/yantdm1-1 Bikerdude converted it to a tdm map. He could abandon it and add it here. Or do you mean some other mission?

Weird old adventure game with interesting art. It's from the company who also made the Gobliiins series.

I think you can leave out the if ( parm11 > 0 ) stuff, because that is for frob highlighting, but is not needed anymore in material files since 2.11 I don't think it will help though. I just wondered if the blend specularmap would work correctly if it's only defined for one of the two textures blended. Btw. I don't know much about it really. Hope somebody else can help you.

Nice.. except for the red dust.

Yes you can see the link to the download on this page: https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Fan_Missions_for_The_Dark_Mod But it has absolutelly nothing to do with this topic. Please stay on-topic.

I was only talking about my specific post and it does include a solution. It's a minor thing though.

Actually, recently I was looking for a not too expensive laptop with not so bad gaming performance. Maybe I could get one of these handhelds instead and plug it in a portable screen, like the ASUS ZenScreen OLED MQ16AH for example. I guess you might need an external keyboard as well.. How good are the controls for regular use like browsing the web? What I don't like about the Asus ROG Ally compared to the Steamdeck is that it doesn't have trackpads. There's also this device with a 5.5" OLED screen: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ayaneo-air-1s-light-thin-oled-amd-7840u-handheld#/
