burn to disc?

Hello!

I was wondering if I can burn the dark mod to a disc and download the mod onto a computer that is not hooked up online.My game computer is not on the internet.Any help is appreciated.Regards,Chad

I would suppose that if you download the darkmod to a computer A, then zip up the darkmod -folder and move it in a CD or USB stick or external HD to computer B, all you gotta do is to unzip the darkmod into the doom (which is patched as FAQ instructs.) folder, it should just work.

Yes, as sotha said...just burn the darkmod folder you download on computer A to a DVD, then copy that darkmod folder to computer B inside the doom 3 folder. That should do it.

I did download darkmod on another computer and playing it on other, no problem with it.

As I thought-no go.It says error when spawning d3 process-no such file or directory,cannot find mod folder for mission

I will look into uploading v1.05 to moddb.

 

Right now the latest version there is v1.03.

 

...perhaps you can find another PC where you could use the official torrent?

It cant seem to find the engine executable at default locations.

er this is almost a non-question as its so easy. What ever pc's you have doom3 installed on you just copy the darkmod folder to the doom3 folder on each pc.

 

1. burn your darkmod folder to a DVD.

2. on other pc, copy darkmod folder from dvd to doom3 folder.

 

play.

 

[update] in fact you can do the above with the whole doom3 folder (with darkmod folder inside etc).

I got it.I was creating a dark mod folder and copying the mod there.This time I just downloaded into doom 3 and it worked.Regards,Chad
