That's cool. :)

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

What's weird is the link goes to the Moddb page, but from there I only saw 1.06... We don't have 1.07 on Moddb? Or it just has Ye Olde Links from that specific page?

No, we only have v1.06 there, since it is a hassle to set this up (I need to prepare a ZIP file on my server, then moddb needs to pull this, then the admins need to aprove it - alternatively, someone needs to upload 2 Gb, which takes days for most people...). And frankly, with the new udpater, downloading via an external link is a bit unnec.

@STiFU I have always wanted to ask is you alias an acronym for "shut the f*** up"? heheh

Sort of, yes. :D My nick originated from a gamecube session I had with a couple of friends over a decade back. I scored a very good record in one of the minigames in mario party and my friends were shouting "STFU" over and over again out of reluctant astonishment... :D (You know, we were pretty much nerds back then and talked a lot in acronyms. :) ) So that somehow became my nickname from then on and I eventually added the "i" for more ease of pronunciation. Which in the end led to further derivations of the nickname through my friends: Stiff, Stiffsen, Schtifu. That about sums the whole thing up. I guess a simple "yes" would've been sufficient, but I just drank a couple of beers and such... :D

Just read the article, it's a little short and a bit out dated. The link to 1.06 being a glaring one, and the video posted was with an ancient version, version 1.0 to be precise. I really wish people who write these articles would put a little more effort into them.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
