I wouldn't worry about releasing before the contest. I can always add your entry as a "bonus mission" to the Moddb article. Is Taffersparadise still participating? If so, you'll need to let LordSoth know that this mission is not part of the contest. :) If you wait a week after the contest deadline that should avoid any confusion. I can only be happier to see you spend a little more time on this. You should put in some descriptions of your work to overcome tricky mapping situations and share a little more of the Biker magic though...

Ok, due to RL (bought a new motorbike) I havent done any mapping for 2 days, so the best I can do is next week hopefully before the contest.

Haven't you already got more than one motercycle? Although this is coming from the guy with 3 electric guitars and has his eye on a fourth. Boys and their toys eh?

What ever you do, BikerDude, be careful.

That's not a suggestion.

As for you guys worried about the "deadlines" (whether the contest deadline or the semi-coinciding one you set for yourself, Biker), please do hurry, sure, but please do not rush anything. If you know you are going to have to do a version 1.1 then don't release version 1.

That's a suggestion.

Don't worry about it. It is better to wait until you feel the map is truely ready to release it to the players. I myself have found other things to do while waiting for new TDM FMs (Thanks DN3D community!).

If you need any help beta testing though, I'm around.

BTW that bike looks pretty cool.

That looks like one sexy beast Biker. Don't crash it!

As for the self imposed deadline don't worry if it's a few days late. We should have at least 3 new FM's by the end of next week for the Beginners Contest. The two that I've beta tested are of a V high standard.

Quick, someone steal his bike or crash into it, I don't care what, just get that man from the street and back behind DR!

Well you dont have to get a harley, as all the big japs makers do custom cycles for not a lot of dosh!

No doubt, I have no desire for a Harley.

I actually want to finish the rebuild on my Step-Fathers 46 Indian Chief he started in College. But between him/money/mother there are issues, lol. I doubt it will happen any time soon. Plus he painted the gas tank Purple, ughh.

I'd be fine with an old yammy or honda. First I need to acquire somewhere around $1000 I can spend.

Are those grating things on the windows brush/patchwork, a smartly used TDM object, or is that a new texture? :)

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
