I'm in the mood of watching plane modelling/RC video as of late. Business jet with airborne early warning radar(AEW) is basically a business jet with steroid. The meek looking business jets turned out to be a total beast. The ISR sensor installed on DA62 MPP(not the ordinary DA62) shakes off the feel of typical ordinary light aircraft

Strange enough I think we still don't have mission briefings styled like this:

I was thinking about this and what I would change/improve style wise.

For example in the video the text is stamped on every picture making the pictures smaller. With tdm's subtitle support this isn't really needed..

Also, I thought about possibly implementing subtle animations in some pictures (motion-comic style) and it would be nice if you could see which picture is played, by making it a bit brighter than the rest.

i use Comic Noir as a moniker for this kind of art style

I think that's more about the visual style of the comic art itself. I wasn't writing about that, although it could be interesting as well, because it could suit the tdm theme well.

That's so cool. But , still, there are so much puzzling mysteries about PC system initialization like how does some address is hardwired to EEPROM BIOS( or how does this memory mapping even happen at first place?), how the BIOS accesses the EEPROM and why there needs to be a 'shadowing' technique to copy ROM content to RAM, then the CPU reset vector function, IVT, BIOS BDA, etc)

the bottom line : sequences prior to reaching boot sector

mechanical fire-alarm:

True - it probably itself needs to be IN-flame to work...

Without electricity required ? wow

Modern fire alarm usually connected to central fire panel and the fire control panel itself has a backup battery

I wish there was a fire panel equipped with an external LCD or external display port to connect to a monitor that displays the floor plan of a building and when a fire is detected it can give the exact location of where the fire is located.

By the way pull rod fire alarm system from 1950s is also interesting :

Besides the fire alarm, the smoke extraction system is a perfect complement (because of smoke extraction system, I also want to find out about axial fans).

An-178 by antonov design bureau ukraine, dayum

Today I learned about anhedral high wing on aircraft

I keep wondering why Russian aircraft like the il-76 or for example the antonov an-74/148/178/225 have anhedral wing(well there are other aircraft as well such as embraer c390 or avro rj series)

seeing an 225 destroyed breaks my heart. Today i learned the fact that AN-225 is bigger than C5 Galaxy

some people report that the Antonov turboprop is very noisy. Well lucky for those who see cavok air or motor sich airlines flying in the European region. An-124 ruslan is beast as well. antonovs rarely fly in the area where I live and the oldest antonovs here have all been decommissioned (especially the an-12b antonov from the early 1960s Soviet military aid package).

I got another crazy video :

Well i saw a drone similar to Schiebel Camcopter at the beginning of the video

Could we put Martin UAV V-Bat on that carrier ?

Stumbled upon a documentary on Enki Bilal, he is one of the most influential comic book artists of my adolescence. English auto-subtitles is rubbish, so you might need to brush up on your French

Today I did a bit of an experiment! I wanted to see if I could get a dark radiant map into garry's mod, the quickest and dirtiest and not-workiest method is "OBJ2VMF" which converts .obj models into VMF files for hammer to then compile, the way its supposed to work is that you input a 6 sided cube and it turns it into a 6 brush room (not exactly ideal for this since that's not how TDM maps work, this honestly would have been a better idea with any thief game from 1 to the one from 2014 since they all work like that) so what ended up happening was that for every brush there was 6 brushes would be ontop of that almost inflating everything in the map like a balloon, map scale was also an issue that I couldn't fine-tune easily either so the scale is way off ontop of everything being inflated making the space inside the map very tiny! anyways heres the result of that and it looks almost nothing like footloose (plus I did add a bunch of random props in gmod for funsies and better visibility since the process involved replacing all the textures with dev ones that look very flat when in full-bright)

(streamable link will expire in 2 days but I'll have a spoken word version of this post along side the video and other fun images relating to the bsp inflation effect in the next "Goblin Secrets" video next month)
