Definitely helpful for floor planning and level layout. I think I saw a thread on the forums that had a 2 other types of these linked as well.

It looks funny but I really don't know whats the point of not just using pencil and paper which is so much faster

i just thought it may be used as a "stolen by my fence" architect plans of some building, if being stilyzed to look more weary

What excuse do we have not to sculpt, and sculpt, and sculpt, until the job is done?

I've just been using this to make the maps for my WIP. It's quite basic but it gets the job done and is useful for us non-artistic types.Thank you for pointing this out.

You wouldn't be asking that question if you saw me with a pencil and paper

True. Pencils can puncture and leave bits of graphite under the skin, and oh those paper cuts reeealllly hurt. Speaking from experience, I am.

...And eyes! Keep those damned things away from the eyes. I'm only touching the mouse again. No papers, no pens, no sir.

I'll never forget the horror... ;)

I don't use lollypop sticks for mapping, either. You run with one of those and fall down, and it could go right through the roof of your mouth.

Who'd have thought that mapping could be so dangerous? Maybe I should give this hobby up and focus on my latest hobby instead. Juggling chainsaws.

There used to be some developers that ran with scissors while they were mapping but I heard they went postal and burned a bunch of protesters alive.

Wasn't Gary Coleman involved in that mess too?

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
