    • Depends. (Elaborate in the thread.)

I'm not sure it's worth making that distinction. It's not unreasonable to think they might wake up even if it hits their boots.

I guess it would depend how close to the point of impact the boots are, if the water arrow impacts right above the boots it would probably be noticeable, but if it hits the roof the boots are going to get a light sprinkling at most. How about a percentage chance? something like 95% for the head, and maybe 15% for the feet? That way you can cover for circumstances, unless you can implement distance based checking in which case a distance and therefore water density system could be employed or simulated.

We're talking about the water only as it falls on them. Ai already react to getting shot with a water arrow.

Thanks for the correction.

I think in that scenario it should still wake the AI up.

Yeah, if a guard has water splashing down on him from a water arrow, it should wake him. Something like would be quite noticeable. :) Would be extra cool if at some point later a couple variations of "getting dowsed with water while sleeping and waking up" voice recordings could be done; sputtering, startled light choking, irritation at being woken by the water, etc, hehe. :)

What about a weighted chance to wake up, like 70-90% or something though that may be too difficult to institute. I think water splashing on someone sleeping should alert but not in to an alerted state where they 'know' someone is around. Just more of a, "what the...?" kind of state.

The guard might think, at first, that he's been pranked by other guards. From there he might go ask them about it, or he might go and turn (verbally) hostile towards that usual prick that keeps pranking his co-workers, or at some point he might believe everyone's innocent and something fishy is going on, alerting the whole nearby group.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
