There are now X86 powered handsets. How come there isn't a comunity getting Windows or even PC apps in general running on these? I would imagine that if you can run Wine on Android, you would be able to "play" a lot of older PC games om the thing if it has 2 GB of RAM and a dual-core Intel CPU. I use the term "play" loosely though with a touch screen that small.

Still, where are all the enthusiasts? You wouldn't even need a shitty slow X86 translator!

And... if you plug an USB-on-the-Go adapter into the phone, and an USB KVM switch into that, you can connect full keyboard and mouse. Then output via HDMI to a larger screen :)

Woah, thread necro!

Hello new person!

I'm an Android person myself, wouldn't use an iPhone unless I had to.

Most new drones that I've seen just come with an app that you install on your phones, most of them support Android and Apple.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

And on the subject of this thread, I now would never use a OnePLus due to the aggressive privacy invading telemetry - https://www.chrisdcmoore.co.uk/post/oneplus-analytics/

And have now been forced to enable to disabling of said option, which should have never been on in the first place - https://fossbytes.com/oneplus-spying-users-disable/

I recommend this. Kick-ass specs for the price, and you can (and should) put Lineage OS on it. It has official LOS support, and that means regular system updates. Coupled with a bloatware-free experience and the plentiful amount of memory (4GB) and NAND (64GB), as well as a MicroSD card slot, you can't go wrong for $160.

Sure the camera isn't the best in the world, but it is good enough. And ASUS didn't follow the brain-damaged trend of taking away the headphone jack that so many vendors are now doing (not just Apple!).

@Kano, its got an Intel Atom cpu and those CPU on laptops and mini PC's were never that well received. That and its old tech now, a Galaxy S6 utterly smokes it - which can be had for the same money -

That said the ZF2 is vastly easier to take apart when you want to replace the battery, which is a big plus in book -

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
