Yeah, the stone textures look great and some of the floor ones seem like they should work.

A lot of the stuff there looks procedural but these days procedural is getting better and better.

Also looks like these might be tuned for PBR but I'm sure the speculars can be toned down to work with our engine.

Not sure if there is a particle thread but Phrozo released a 2nd particle mod so there may be some new goodies to play with in here:

Let me know if you ever see a D3 mod with custom monsters in it...one of these days I'm still hoping to find an animated rig that I could use to bring our werebeast back to life.

Did you already check-out the "Doom 3 Boss Contest" pack?

I've never heard of it, and that page doesn't seem to give any indication of what it has in it.

I'll poke around with it after I'm done with a Moddb article. I believe it was a contest to create new Doom 3 monsters.

Edit: Thus far nothing of value unless we want a giant quasi-anthropic rock monster? Not sure if his rig is new either but

he doesn't move like anything I've seen in Doom 3.

Living statue? Living statues were one of the genuinely cool additions in Thief 3. "Find the sound find the noise find it find it kill it." "Noooothinnnnnng! Nothing and no one and nothing and no one." "Dieeeeeee! Crush and kill and crush and kill."

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

Trying to be productive on my down-time before Capcom releases Akuma and my son is constantly on my PC playing Street Fighter...

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )
