This isn't voting for which menu to use, but just which one you like the most so far. It will give us artists an idea of which one we should be expanding on.

Here are the options so far:

Inspired by Pak's dark parchment version:

Inspired by Ren's Book version:

New Horizon's steampunk version:

Springheel's dark illustration version:

Springheel's (very rough) stained-glass skyline version:

It's really sad you know?. :) I really love Rens book version, because it looks extremly good, but I still voted for the glass window because it fits better for the Thief setting.

I think we can use the book style still for FM selection. Would be a shame to let this rot.

And we could use it ingame for actual books. We probalby could define areas where images are presented which are randomly selected. The images could be arranged either on a half page or on an entire page with the text surrounding it. I think we could write an algorithm that randomly selects a style for each page. This will give the books more versatillity and the authors will not have to design the books themselve.

I don't know if this is clear to everyone:the stainglass is from "The Circle of Stone and Shadow". We can't use that, right ? - so we first have to do our own version - after that we should do a new vote IMO.

I voted for the dark parchment - IMO it has a lot of dark atmosphere and is very thiefy

IO mainly voted it for the theme. Colour and style. Not for the exact image it currently has.

None of these are exactly what we would be using...they are mock-ups. We're just voting on what style we like, so as artists we can move in one direction instead of five different ones.

Gah - I voted for the book one. I'm starting to agree with everyone saying the stained glass and skyline suits the Theif mood more, but the book one feels so cozy as well as sinister. Cozy is one of the many feelings I get when playing thief, getting to sneak around some mansion unnoticed, knowing anywhere I want to get, I can, without anyone knowing.

Yeah! That's exactly the word! Cozy. :) Same for me. Especially when you are in a mansion with a nice firecplace, warm light and so in. That's exactly the atmopshere that I love so much about T1/T2 and what I'm missing in T3. It feels cold.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
