Hammerite Imperium Textures Go D3

Fingernail

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of converting all the good Hammerite Imperium textures (over 300 new ones :) ) into D3 format. It's a long-winded process.

Anyway, there are several marble tiles on the ftp now under Textures/Dark Mod/Miscellaneous/Tiles/

There are only 3 normal maps (many of the diffusemaps are the same combination of tiles in different colours), and three specular also. There is no material file yet, but if someone writes one and integrates them, they are good to go.

They are all 256x256 (all 3 types).

This is good stuff. Let's be sure to give some thought to whether they belong in the *Mansion* pack, or the upcoming Cathdral Pack, just for organization's sake. Obvoiusly there can be some duplication.

Well, there are some textures that will be applicable in lots of "pack" themes. I'm not saying we duplicate the texture files themselves. I guess it depends how we organize these things.

What's the status on this project, Fingernail? We could use some new textures.

3 new textures on CVS.

I made a "floor" directory for generic non-mansion specific floors. Within this there is Ground, where all exterior natural textures should go. So there is a gravel and a mossy texture in that. These are referenced in a new floors.mtr

And one extra mansion/walls/ texture, for which I updated the mansion.mtr

Why did you place moss and gravel under "floor"? Shouldn't they be under you know, nature/garden or something like that? Also, shouldn't all folder names be lower-case?

Also, for some reason, CVS wont download them. I got the email and all, but the new folder doesn't show up.

Edit - Seems like I got the material file (materials/floor.mtr), but not the textures. Even weirdier.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
