  1. Does anyone fancy Adlib libraries?

    1. ERH+

      ERH+

Sounds very similar to Ultima Underworld.

    2. ERH+

After listening to track 12FM I've started wondering if Kitaro's Silk Road was made on such top notch audio card :D .

i am more a awe32 guy. The remasterd version sounds also nice.

  2. ERH+ that's class architecure mapping! Sublime and oozing dusk and skybox selection for some of those pictures.
  3. Just to put things in context. The dude has strong opinions.
  4. It's ok I guess but a little of a letdown, not having the traditional Enhanced Edition. Very enthusiastic people still justify that, as in that the expansions are enough. But those were not free and the DLC content was very minor. It's a great game sure, but the endings definately have that roughness and a feel of being rushed, while all the parts of the product when coming together - in my eyes can't compete with things like Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines on the level of writing, story, design or even gameplay decisions. Witcher 3 is supposed to be this amazing RPG of the year - but it's not their merit. It's the failure of others to build upon healthy practices of other properly dignified Role Playing experiences.
  5. It's great! At least the people gained experience for their resume hopefully with some models or other things. Or just, you know life experience and knowledge. That's what matters.
  6. Not according to friends from abroad. Cyan's word is gold compared to a few distressed emails at Ubisoft. Their answer is "we have no such plans, thanks for asking!"
  7. For me Myst was always more of this atmosphere thing which I felt Ice-Pick Lodge games did great too without overcomplicated puzzles that refrain me from moving onwards. I'm also biased a little because they never made any effort to make the original Myst, Riven compatible with new pc's. Also no Myst 3 and 4. How am I supposed to get them anymore from Eastern Europe? It's 2016. Is it really any better to let them die in retail ephemeral nothingness rather than digitally immortalise them? Even if ubisoft gets 80% of shares, they developed those.... Hard to find reasons to get obduction or artificially motivate one. In light of all facts. Best of luck to them with sales though. It was a good Kickstarter.
  8. It fixes the error that doesn't let the mission be completed for the debriefing.
  9. No it's a sarcastic remark for the Russian advertising spam from him. I hate spam. Wasted human effort.
  10. Educational video on animation and what makes good examples of how to do it. IK included https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvXD7BcL5cA
  11. Question: is there functionality for FM outro videos reserved for the end or mid-play (as in videos that play in a specific location once the player reaches it)? Does the engine have that function as it was possible in T:DS? I am aware of the in-engine supported cutscenes that NHAT and Somewhere above the city had.
  12. Maybe use Google Drive or One Drive for more accessibility?

    Cry of Fear

Silent Hill 1 and 2 are great and possibly the only ones anyone who's ever tried them, only ones they would recommend even for a non-gamer (person that would play at regular intervals of time). They run on emulators as well and a copy shouldn't be too expensive either. I think the pain of getting through the controls is worth it on PC. But, if you live in region where it's easy to get a PS 1, PS 2, even second hand... well the fuss is worth it for Silent Hill. It's not like Resident Evil where cheap voice acting and shambling zombies are main selling point. Though again, I think a release on PC was made, I just never found a copy. If you want to hear more, nobody said it better than this (now deceased) person: Because I don't want to continue stealing someone else's thoughts at the end of the day. Update: For the purpose of not intimidating you, it's totally possible to play it on PC with an emulator. It's legal too. The only thing to pay for is the copy of the product itself and download the appropriate software to play. Later you can assign the necessary key bindings.

    Cry of Fear

Why strive for mediocrity when Silent Hill provides the prime example of excellence? Is not continuous perfection more preferable? When a deed is commenced, better to have it done in the best way possible. Good ambiance and scripts beats a good props filled and detailed environment with scare jumps for me any day.

    Cry of Fear

Looked amateurish to me. Nightmare House 2 is better imho. It also includes a remake on the source episode 2 version of the engine of the very first Nightmare House - all in one pack. In the recent years though can't stand anything that uses too many HL2 assets. It was the last mod of this kind I tried with enthusiasm. And it's a good one. As a whole indie games like Knock-Knock do some horror stuff that everyone forgot HOW it's done apparently anymore. Which indeed is not easy. Because action is easier than a powerful psychological experience. One coupled to a disturbing mood of something off, yet doesn't use cheap Doom 3 scare jumps.
  16. Looks like it works, though no response from console. Thank you.
  17. Yes! A thousand times. Will try now to delete everything from registry connected and retry again. Update: Didn't help either. Installing in the default folder as well, installing and reinstalling brings the same result.
  18. Can safely say I tried everything to no avail. I have a few question in regards to the purpose of: CTSUApp.exe and the game settings in ALchemy.exe that has values for Buffers; Duration; Max Voice Count and Disable Music. Does this all need to be untouched? My dsoundlog.txt in the ALchemy folder is empty, while each time I run the game with all settings described in the steps in OP, a text file is created with an update as you mentioned in the game folder.
  19. I've got 3 .ini files and none of them have Refresh rate paragraphs in The Dark Mod folder. The console doesn't recognize these parameteres.
  20. Here's the DxDiag for all system specs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B82Nuxua9A8DY1VNWDBYNi1kU1U/view?usp=sharing I don't understand what could go wrong then because ALchemy had no issues at all seeing the game folder and applying it's settings (nominally). It should work... Also, is anyone else's dsoundlog.txt empty? Is it supposed to be like that? Worth 0 KB.
  21. Wait a minute, you mean that it won't work on a 64 bit system? That's not why the 64 branch was discussed so much right? I'm on Windows 10 64 bit Pro My AV isn't intefering to be exact. All went smoothly, it's just that I double checked the remover changelog (which obviously won't patch something that was patched before), wasted energy on being paranoid about it. I tried reinstalling, did everything by the rules and the only solution is of course what you propose. But it's going to take a while. What a bummer if it was all in vain, if 64 bit systems are crossed out though. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  22. For some reason doesn't work for me. Did everything by the book and no dice. Going to settings gives the standard reply "Hardware not found". Using the REMOVER triggers that: I actually rebooted twice (once for installing Alchemy, second for the Remover patch after it was done (didn't check if it did anything the first time).Going to retry again.
