New CPU is 2-core Pentium 3.2GHz cheapo... but it clocked to 4.3GHz without complaining. My system booted with no issues on the first try after moving my drives and gpu to new case, mobo, cpu, ram, and psu. Lots of games to test, but Unigine Valley tested rather nicely in ultra quality, as did lotro.

Ouch, that sucks. Still, the entire setup was pretty cheap. Figures the carrier would drop the box, wonder if that's what killed it? Either way, the rest of the system runs, congrats!

Yeah. The eBay buyer received a damaged box. The nzxt case was fractured in several places. The cpu heatsink had sheared off the board, knocking out 2 polymer capacitors, which resulted in the fried cpu (and fried Samsung SSD too). At least the RAM modules, gf780,27" LED monitor, WDC 1TB black, and PSU were all good.

The case was fractured, and the heatsink had sheared off? What did they do, throw it off a tower? Geez. Surely the courier is at least partially liable for that level of damage, that doesn't sound like it was just "dropped".
