  1. Happy new year. Hope i'll play some more TDM in 2019.
  2. Is that your own mission, or the thing you posted on the last page too? Looks very nice.
  3. Sounds good. Today, i got a big update (about 5.5 GB).
  4. To each his own. I think John Carpenter is quite overrated, when it comes to film scoring. I know, he's kind of "cult" in that regard, but, i really haven't heard much "great" stuff from him. There are loads of other, better music composers.
  5. With the political mainstream present among the youth nowadays, i have my doubts about that. It's already severe among adults, at least here in Germany.
  6. I was speaking generally, for any kind of game. Also, i don't think "kids" stop being kids when they're over 18. I still considered myself a kid when i was 20. Including the naive political thinking and attitude.
  7. Not sure what you mean with "Want to think this", but, i prefer to think for myself, instead of getting a political opinion served, and having to eat what's on the table. Games were never about political messages, except for the ones which obviously thematized those. I don't know what entertainment has to do with politics, and why a political message always has to shipped with it these days. Poor kids. They can't even build a political opinion themselves.
  8. Are you sure that you don't read way too much into this, and that Dishonored 2 isn't in line with about EVERY game these days, which is supposed to teach you the political mainstream? Really, just look around. People get totally hysteric if the character isn't gay, female, black, transgender, or whatever these days. The reason why i find this ridiculous is not because i criticize these things, but, because i criciticze games as a medium to entertain, but teaches you politics. "Hey, player, be tolerant already!!!"
  9. Fair enough, but, IMO, you really miss out on something when you don't play vertical missions. For me, those are the most enjoyable.
  10. Same here. Gonna wait until VR headsets are really decent though. And decent also in pricing. The Lenovo Explorer was sold for 149 € recently, and the Oculus Rift is also being sold very cheap at the moment on Amazon.
  11. I just found that out today... bought a Xbox One S recently, and, now i have to found out i even have to pay to play online. Additionally to much higher prices for the games in general. Man, the console kiddies surely get soaked. Good thing i don't play online games... and good thing i still have a PC to play. I love the Xbox BTW. Just saying.
  12. Steam or any other store platform provide a service, and chance of distribution to publishers and developers. Publishers and developers think it's a good deal to pay 30%, to get their games spread to a bigger crowd. TBH, i donÄt get the talk about the share the store platforms get from the sales price. Noone is forced to offer on Steam, or any other platform. It's not "fair" to provide a platform with a lower share price. Publishers and developers will consider. TBH, i'd consider well before offering on a new platform, because it will be a matter of what benefits it offers. What benefits does a platform offer that nobody uses, for example? What benefits does GOG offer, when you consider that they only offer games without DRM, so, it'll be a economic consideration between people you may attract when you offer without DRM, and people who will distribute your DRM free game on file sharing sites. It's all an economic consideration. We don't have communism (yet). Thankfully.
  13. I'm reading the internet. As usual.
  14. New Obsidian RPG in 3D! They recently got bought by Microsoft Game Studios, alongside InXile, so, i guess that's the first offspring of that marriage.
  15. I doubt that that is the reason for the prices. The reason is rather that they get the money they ask for. Let's pretend you buy a gaming PC for 1.500 €, and, in the process, you buy 200 Steam games. Isn't the price for the hardware pretty neglectable then? The vast majority won't buy a new PC after 3 or 4 years, but rather after 6, 7 or 8 years, if even. If you take a look at the console games, there are so many DLC's you can buy for the more popular games, that you can easily dump 200 € and more for one game. You'll easily touch the price of the PC hardware with 6 or 7 games like that. Another point is surely also that the PC doesn't have the market share it used to have for games either.
  16. All i can say is that the prices in the Xbox Store are a LOT higher than the prices on Steam. And the kids still seem to buy. Bit of a chicken <-> egg thing. And, i can't say i can really complain about Steam. I bought loads of cheap games there, discounted or not. Of course, if the name is Bethesda or Rockstar Games, you won't see cheap prices so soon, because, again, the kids buy.
  17. One question: Do you play (and buy) console games? Talking of ridiculous prices. PC players are totally spoiled in regards to prices.
  18. TBH, in the hours i played it, i found it to be pretty dull and lame. Already begins with weapon operation. The arrows fly totally straight, there is no arch, and the physics seem pretty weird in general, for example, it is not very realistic how the objects you throw fly. Also, i don't like to play for hours, and then lose my progress, because the game doesn't save it. Which is a feature, not a bug... the monsters also seem to have very limited vision. They only notice you when you're very near. Another annoyment is that you stop crouching when you climb up somewhere. Talking about climbing up: Frobbing something and climbing up is displayed as if you moved up in an elevator. No player movement at all, except vertically. Anyone who is expecting something groundbreakingly innovative and fun like the original Thief games will probably disappointed. Anyway, it's only 25 €, so, not much lost if so.
  19. Can't watch this... the guy is so freaking annoying. Shame.
  20. So when will Blender 2.80 be released?
  21. I don't need to remember Thief DP. I still play it.
  22. Thief 4 had been sold on the Xbox Store for 3 on Black Friday weekend. Almost bought it, but then decided that it's enough to have it on PC.
  23. Opinions shmopinions. I find Windows 10 vastly superior to Windows 7, and wouldn't want to install third party tools to do something the driver already does. And I like to be notified about driver updates too.
