Pretty cool. I hope that the claim that they will hold driver developers accountable to spec conformance is more than dubious posturing...

About time, might consider upgrading to a Xfire setup. But then hopefully nVidia will fix their micro stutter and I can simply get another GTX 670.

I'm really proud to be part of a community that make things like T2X and CoO. I think its great that people are isnpired to put so much effort in to stuff like this and give back to the community. Thanks guys!

      Here are the hotels/castles mentioned:

      Le Chateau Frontenac, Quebec City

      Chateau Laurier, Ottawa

      Banff Springs Hotel, Alberta

      Chateau Lake Louise, Alberta

      Jasper Park Lodge, Alberta

      Empress Hotel, Victoria

      Hotel Vancouver, Vancouver

      Le Manoir Richelieu, Quebec

      Le Château Montebello, Québec

They're all owned by Fairmont Hotels & Results apparently. Seems like a BBC ad.

I was going to say it looks processing - heavy for a game, but then they had some (apparently) interactive bits. It would be nice to see this in some future sim game.

Bikerdude: Yes we have! There have actually been two mine missions (if we don't count The Rift, which also has a mine segment).

I believe discount will happen on this from time to time. Like steam summer sales, winter sales etc.

The article says they were swamped with noise and clutter, so charging to reduce that makes sense. At least they're donating the $ to charity.

yeah it was being filled with all sorts of crap/fake stuff. I'm surprised they didn't start off with a nominal fee in anticipation of that.

That's pretty cool. It really puts the thing into space b/c you can feel it hitting the air around it (like what radiosity does for light). I also like it capturing like the hollow of a cup breaking.
