Remove Copy Offset?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to remove the offset recently put in place when you use spacebar to copy an object? It offsets it by 1 grid size horizontally and vertically Id rather have it not do that and remain in the same spot because it makes it easier to quickly resize and move quickly. Perhaps overlapping brushes could be colored blue or something instead?

I use the space bar constantly to clone and resize walls with Fidcal's 'curtain' method, and having to reposition the brush is an extra step I'd rather not do if there's a way to turn that off.

It's a button right at the top of DR, to the right of "Drag-resize entities symmetrically"

If you still can't find it, and you have the latest version of DR, then it's a classic case of needing to delete the right settings user file (I'm sure you know this, but for future posterity who may stumble upon this thread...). On one of my XP systems it's in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\DarkRadiant, on the other I go into "Owner" instead of "Administrator" but the rest is the same. In Vista the path starts with C:\Users. I'm not sure exactly which files in there are for what, but at least one of them is the culprit.

Guys, there is a dedicated button to switch off this feature at the top of the toolbar. Take a closer look.

I got to like this feature - reassuring to know I definitely did clone and I can see it. I often hit a big grid size first so it's easier to see the new one jump out. It has to be moved anyway so it's just one extra push to align it in the same line if it needs it or just drag away to somewhere new.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
