For some reason I cannot post in the DR thread!

 

Rek: I had the same problem with a blood stain. Try instead one of the splats. I used textures/decals/splat16 in mine. These are in the decals 'folder' just below the darkmod one in the texture list (not the darkmod/decals one) way down the texture list.

Posting here times out too...I posted four times before finding out the post actually went through. And I can't edit the above post either. Something weird is going on.

For the record it timed out for me, too, I reloaded, posted again, timed out again, reloaded, then noticed that it double-posted, and I couldn't edit them out. (I almost triple posted before I noticed the others went through.)

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Modetwo posted in the Off Topic forum about the probable culprit. He installed new a security patch and everything got borked after that. He said he'll look into it, then hopefully he can fix it and clear up all the problems.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

      Hey @nbohr1morehow come the zombies in The Dark Mod don't have a "resurrection" mechanic to it, similar to how Thief has it?
      They're quite a weak creature as of right now, it's merely a walking corpse that slashes you, making attacking them to kill them an actual strategy.
      Would be better if they had some cool mechanism to it that truly makes them a danger, such as the resurrection idea itself.

      Query: when was the last time a zombie in a video game was unnerving or scary to you? I'm chipping away at my anniversary submission and I've been trying to gather opinions on the subject. I'm perfectly capable of lighting them well, changing their sfx, and creating effective ambience, but I'm worried that zombies at their core are just too overdone to be an effective payoff to the tension I'm creating.
