Wow prompt replies! Thanks and yes I have played those older missions. The only mission I found that was not listed on the official page verses the wiki is Lord Duffords wonder why?

 

Because it´s not set in the DarkMod-universe. Also you should stick to the wiki-pages, they are more up to date. Note also the upcoming missions-list at the end of that page! :)

yep... but I think somebody (not me) is planning on releasing a new mission at the end of this month.

 

At least I'm gonna release Porter 1 soon after v1.03 rolls out. The map is basically finished, I'm doing only minor improvements while waiting..

Ladies, yes. I've written the story so it requires female characters. It could of course be rewritten for males only, but I'd prefer sticking to the original plan.

 

I confess, that I'm pathetic enough to watch the bugtracker daily to see how bugs get squashed and release approaches..

I'm a bug tracker addict as well. :laugh:

 

But I wouldn't take the check-off list too literally. I suspect they will just arbitrarily cut off fixes once the ladies are done (maybe pending some other big fixes ... clop clop clop neigh... :laugh: )

I couldn´t wish for another mapper than you to release the first girls-FM! (with alive & speaking girls) :)

And it would be so disappointing to have 1.03 with girls released, but no mission to 'embrace' them. :wub:

 

For that reason I wanted to create just in case a torture room, with the player to be tortured by the girls, of course. But that would need more tweaking, though adding black leather suits wouldn´t be that hard... Ähem, I´m drifting again. :rolleyes:

From what I know the girls are done, only their voices are missing that are recorded right at this moment, or some seconds before, I´m not sure. But some maniacs can´t stop improving DarkMod so it takes a bit longer. :)

Taken into account the amount of apparent erotic 'charging' in the posts my guess would be:

anything than activity related to releasing such charge.

 

But then again the charge buildup rate and release frequency should be quantified too, since they're critical for the evaluation.

 

But lol, such speculation is always fun, but useless. Sorry. :laugh:

It took some time to translate/decode your writing, Sotha, but I say: I guess you´re right.

 

It´s all from the Girls-release-anticipation. It all started then there was talk about them. After release, I will switch back to my normal behaviour from before, I´m sure of it. :blush:

But I get your point, the whole forum shouldn't be turned into "opportunity to speculate about porn in the internal forums and crack jokes about it...".

 

So to further the main concept for this topic:

 

"Is anyone else planning a mission that has features that are pending v1.03 or simply want to release after v1.03 to prevent having to fix their map if they have accidentally included improper script methods (etc) ???" :unsure:

Christmas will be a good time then, as your map will be accompanying Melan and Biker's RTTC re-release.

 

Maybe Winter will have his vertical map ready since he said it would take "two weeks" back in August but that is probably "two Dark Radiant weeks" (which means that Winter is trapped in a diabolical time-paradox and will need to forge his Twilight-Zone style escape for the holidays...) ;)

 

Maybe some of those old 2009 mappers will return for the holidays as well...

 

 

If I read into your comments for speculation:

 

1) It definitely means that v1.03 will be out before Christmas

2) It could mean that v1.03 will be out before Halloween (if we stretch the meaning a little).

 

I see that Serpentine will be stuck with exams till November so that could push things to November as well...? (It would be cool to have his improved Training Mission.)

 

So somewhere between Halloween and Christmas. :laugh:

 

No need to provide any more hints or spoilers. Just having fun imagining the v1.03 release.

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
