Being that I'm a music junkie, born from the 90's grunge generation, I'm sharing a band called TRIBE.

 

This band feature Eric, Greg and Terri from LGS fame.

 

Eric plays guitar, Greg is on bass, and Terri on keyboards. They all sing too. If you don't know, it's a treat! This was the band that was to be their intended career, but since it never took off like they planned they got jobs at LGS doing sound, and we all admire their soundcraft on games like TDP.

 

Terri is also the voice of SHODAN.

Wow holy shit that was fantastic!

 

I can understand now how Thief's soundtrack was so amazing. On a separate note it really goes to show how fucked up our industry is when a ridiculously creative company full of talented people such as Looking Glass Studios goes under yet the repetitive & formulaic/boring EA stays alive and strong.

I didn't want to mention Rock Band / Guitar Hero, as being a *real* guitar player, I really wish it wasn't their team that I held part of my contempt toward.

 

Anyone ever see that South Park episode about Guitar Hero?

I suppose you could try it:

there is this game, Frets on Fire, that uses the keyboard as the instrument.

 

I know some violin players who played FF better with the keyboard at their neck (like a violin), rather than in hands like a guitar.

Coincidence is that I did that a while ago, only using it like a guitar hero controller. I tried to get back into it again more recently but it's a slowly dying project; links to most fretted songs are all broken by now. I might kill some time with it tonight if I can find some songs to play, I remember there was one song of the three that came with it that I really liked.
