Poll: Greenlight (93 member(s) have cast votes)

when we shall start presenting TDM on Steam Greenlight?

  1. Imediately, classified as the "concept". We will change that on "playable" after going standalone. We need to take advantage of the attention drawn to the greenlight. (23 votes [24.73%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 24.73%

  2. After going standalone. We dont want to present something that cant be playable at the moment (via Steam). (51 votes [54.84%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 54.84%

  3. Never. The competition is just too strong. (8 votes [8.60%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 8.60%

  4. Imediately, classified as the "playable" (DOOM 3 Steam version required). We need to take advantage of the attention drawn to the greenlight. (11 votes [11.83%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 11.83%

Current plan of action is to put the whole game and every mission up on Steam, and update the install whenever there's a new mission or game update. The alternative is to do as you say.

I think missions should be downloaded within the game with the downloader. If you ship them all everyone has to download everything, even if they already played the mission or just don't want to play that specific mission at all. Keep things small and simple. In my humble opinion download the core dark mod from steam (including updates) and download the missions within the game is the way to go.

Edit: If new missions are available you can also announce them on the community hub to let people know about them.

Both solutions have their pros and cons, and really I'm completely split between them. If and when this goes through, there'll be a poll  ;)

Seriously, Workshop has C++ code, just like the rest of the Steamworks SDK. I don't know if you guy messing with me or can't wrap your heads around the concept :/

No shit Sherlock, that's what I said. Where do you see me proposing Steamworks / Workshop ?

If you're not proposing Steam Workshop than why go forward with the GPL the C++ code and everything else?

You know where this is heading.

"I really perceive that vanity about which most men merely prate — the vanity of the human or temporal life. I live continually in a reverie of the future. I have no faith in human perfectibility. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active — not more happy — nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. The result will never vary — and to suppose that it will, is to suppose that the foregone man has lived in vain — that the foregone time is but the rudiment of the future — that the myriads who have perished have not been upon equal footing with ourselves — nor are we with our posterity. I cannot agree to lose sight of man the individual, in man the mass."...

You sure do, Mr. conspiracist.

Some people don't know what Steamwork SDK requires (or publishing on Steam) and propose/ask for certain things that can't be done. I've explained why.

I'd certainly like to think so, but any actual issues anyone knows of can be brought up all the same.

Remove you fraudulent post # 355 since apparently mods haven't told you to do so.
