"Whats the reason to own and carry around assault rifles, thousands of ammo, body armor?" I agree that there is none. I don't want to know how many lifes were wasted in the U.S., for example, just because every redneck is allowed to carry a gun. Fortunately, i live in a country where it isn't so easy to acquire, and legally own a gun.

WTF Intel? The cheapest laptop with Iris and 4 cpu cores is a MacBook Pro? For that price I can get TWO hp's with a similar Ryzen APU. Or even TWO asus's with quad code Intel and a dedicated nVidia. Stupidest pricing ever!

Two things about TDM I learned yesterday: 1) You can look away in the middle of a lock-picking-sequence and continue right where you left off if you keep pressing the frob button. You are not reset to the last tumbler you unlocked when doing that. 2) You can actually cancel bow-draw by pressing the "block"-key. I feel like I knew #2 once, but I must've forgotten. It amazes me that after all these years, you still discover new stuff about the game!! :-D

Would the skyglow amplification caused by falling/fallen snow be a visual factor in TDM missions (or cities from hundreds of years ago)? Or is it only noticeable with today's modern lighting?

I played through NOLF a year ago or so, same version. It's still an absolutely awesome game. One of my favorites of all time.

Parts for my new i7 8700 rig are on their way. I wonder if and how TDM engine wil scale up with new CPU and memory combo.

More sites are refusing to let us read them unless we switch off the ad blocker. But switching off Javascript gets us around that!

I get the thing about intrusive ads. Still, the only way to fund websites are ads. It's kind of a doom loop. The more you advertise, the less worth the single ad is, so you have to advertise more to get your funds. BUT, the internet wouldn't be what it is today without ads. It would be pay per visit, for the most part.
On some less intrusive sites, i definitely deactivate my adblocker, and if there's something which is very interesting for me, i definitely click.

There's a catch to it though. How should websites fund themselves, when everyone blocks the ads? It's either ads, or pay per visit. No other way to do it.

As I have been getting a few requests for vocals recently I just wanted to inform everyone that I am no longer doing vocals for any project regardless of whether it's related to thief/tdm. I plan on fulfilling my old agreements but after they're done then that's it from me.

Good to hear. I mean, that you will still do vocals on your missions. The Shadows of Northdale campaign is very promising.
