I picked it up but haven't played it yet. Its got great ratings, so somebody likes it.

I do too, I'd love to keep playing, but currently, I am experiencing a progression breaking bug and the devs don't answer on my bug report.  

Oh yeah I remember playing this years ago and enjoying it. It reminded me of the style and feel of Fallout, but in ancient Rome. I did wind up finishing it, but remember there were a few odd game continuity issues, but able to get around them by referencing forums, etc.
