Hey all. Recently joined. I'd love to contribute to TDM's ongoing improvement somehow if possible. I'm looking for some classical music that other people find inspiring to map to. If you do not map I'd be interested in hearing some pieces that remind you of the TDM setting and mood. I'm particularly looking for epic orchastral music and choral masses. Piano and violin music with a mellon collie tone. Also the longer they are the better. Although I will check ouit any recommendations if you think they fit the TDM mood. Thanks.

I'm going to update the credits for release - so please post your textual corrections here. I have quite a good overview of about who did what in the mod, but if anybody wants to be mentioned in a special way, please speak up here, it's your last chance before release. There will be a more comprehensive credits GUI, so it can be more detailed than before.

I've been considering reinstalling TDS for a wile now... I've still got my original CDs. Have these guys fixed the bug where you get stuck floating? Last time I played TDS, that happened and I was unable to get out of it, so I ragequit.

You can surpass that bug by drawing your bow, performing a shot, and draw your blackjack when the bow is tensioned, to abort the bow shot. I'm hoping it's fixed in the Gold patch too though. Alongside the thing where you move sideways, when peeking left or right.

Hey TDM-ers. I have an idea this time , so hear me out :X Okay so I love the atmosphere some levels provide , sneaking through them really makes me feel...Thiefy. But I was wondering well... That atmosphere gets destroyed when you get detected , because you have to either run for your dear life , or try to fight and if outnumbered , die. Now here is the idea - Wouldn't it be cool if when detected instead of hearing those bland "I shall devour you from this evil." - "Thief , help , Thief!" , to hear an instrumental track? What I'm aiming at here is detection music and battle music. For instance , some triple A games do it , like when being looked for , there is a stellar track that makes you feel you're looked for , and when detected , boom , some awesome instrumental track starts playing , and you're running for your life with that playing in the background thus adding to the epic feel of running away. ( Take Assassin's Creed. Shitty game , great soundtrack ). For TDM , I was thinking something orchestral , because it would fit the world perfectly. Any support on this? - Btw , here , just imagine running for your life with this playing in the background.

As I've built my level, I taken inspiration from the Thief FM community and have been using custom ambient loops where I couldn't find an appropriate track in the vanilla TDM package. I did this (like Thief FMs) by taking snippets from existing ambient music tracks and turning them into loops. Now, the original tracks are not public domain and were about 8 minutes long, of which I've taken ~45 second clips to use for my loop. In one case I'm using a 10 second snippet of a track that's 30 minutes long. I know from earlier threads (which I read with a sinking feeling in my stomach) that using copyrighted music is basically verboten if you want to be hosted on the official TDM mirrors, but I was wondering if there is some possible exception for relatively small snippets under some concept of Fair Use. What do you guys think? Do I just have to scrap those tracks?
