  1. I'm wondering if anyone ever checks new posts in the Fan Missions Forums? I've posted 4 questions asking for help for 4 different missions that I can't finish because I"m stuck, and I don't get any help. I posted a question this morning so I don't expect an answer right away for that one. Its frustrating because I would like to finish them. I've read through the posts for each mission and I'm not getting anything from them. If there's someone who could help me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks I guess I'm spoiled from the TTLG forums.
  2. Is it just me or does the TDM Forums favicon look whack?

  3. Hey guys. I've come across... well not a bug actually, but I haven't noticed this before. Sometimes when I go from one area to another the gamma of the image tints and changes. In some cases (as in attached video) it's really noticeable and I wouldn't say that the effect is pretty. So the question is - is it an intended feature of the Dark Mod or the FM or I may have something wrong with my videocard\game settings? P.S. Before making the video I've disabled post-processing and put ambient rendering to simple - the effect persists, as you can see. Also my Nvidia Control Panel is set not to interfere in any way with the game settings - no additional stuff, like some people like to do.
  4. Hi all, me again Now that I've learned how to take screenies on DM (thanks to Aluminumhaste) I wanted to post one that I took but I got an error saying that the image ext that I used was not allowed in these forums, It was .jpg so I changed it to .png and I got the same error again. They're on Photobucket.
  5. Hello there, I did a clean install of TDM 2.03 via TDM Updater, and when I change my resolution to 1366x768, the game becomes slower, especially when I go outdoors (between 10-15 FPS). But the most interesting thing about this issue is this happens when I use my Nvidia graphics card. Onboard Intel HD Graphics perfoms better but not that much. I mean, still not smooth enough. Also tried changing some stuff in Darkmod.cfg but to no avail. I was able to play Doom 3: BFG Edition smoothly but I haven't tried the vanilla Doom 3. I don't understand why this happens. My specs: Intel Core i5 4210U 1.7 Ghz (2.7 Ghz with Turbo technology) and Intel HD Graphics 4400 integrated graphics Nvidia GeForce GT840M (latest driver is installed, and I could play some recent AAA games without lowering the graphics settings) 8 GB of DDR3 RAM I also use Windows 10 but I don't think that is the issue. The problem was existent on Windows 8.1 too. Thanks in advance. Edit: See the entry #386991 for a possible solution!
  6. Got my new painting skins and was seeing the following in the console before the map is even been loaded - Here is just one example - line 116: Missing decal name line 137: Expecting '{' but found 'portra'And the skin definition in question - skin 06portra { model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_m.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_l.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_m_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_l_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_s.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_s_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_s.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_s_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_minature.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/painting_desktop_vertical.ase painting01 06portra painting01_m 06portra painting02_L 06portra } skin 07portra { model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_m.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_l.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_m_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_l_tearable.lwo model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_s.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting01_s_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_s.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_round_s_tearable.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/wall/painting_minature.ase model models/darkmod/decorative/painting_desktop_vertical.ase painting01 07portra painting01_m 07portra painting02_L 07portra } As it turns out the engine dosen't like having numbers at the beginning of file names in either the kin or material defs, and I imagine it wont like them in other text based files the engine use etc.
  7. Dear technical pros of the TDM forum, I have a new monitor since last christmas, but since a few weeks I noticed a strange issue which I don't know why I noticed it not before (if it was already even there). When the screen is moving (by scrolling Google Pictures or by moving in a game) there appears some kind of "refresh line" horizontally on any random position of the screen. Its flickering and never stays completely at its position. I don't know how to describe it so I hope THIS VIDEO can show. From the compression you can barely see the line and you need to watch it full screen, but I hope you can tell. Its really hard to point out from the video and even harder to describe... It's like the screen is only refreshing until a certain point on the monitor and after this point the rest is rendered a little later so it seems to have a horizontal cut that is moving around with every FPS. As I said this does not only appear in games, but also when I scroll down / up. I checked with my second monitor which only has 1024px instead of 1920px and there the lines do not appear. My monitor with the error is an ASUS PB248Q 61,2cm (24,1") which I use together with my old Yakumo TFT via DVI cable on my AMD Radeon R9 200 Series graphics card. Do you have any idea how the problem can be called or even better: what could cause this problem! Because it really sucks and annoys me
  8. I have a 1080p Samsung plasma set for 1:1 pixel mapping at 1080p. When I boot up tdm at 16:9 1080p only 2/3 of the game is displayed, scaled to cover the entirety of my screen. Amd 7970 with latest driver.

  10. Personally I think this is the worst idea ever. The Reason forums has LOADS of info and knowledge, built up through years and years. I'm really sad to see it go away, and I can't understand why they've made this decision. https://www.propellerheads.se/forum/showthread.php?p=1579099#poststop
  11. Hi all, I recently tried dabbling a bit in custom textures, and I've been attempting to get the Nvidia Photoshop plugin for normal maps. However, after downloading and installing, it's still not appearing under the Filter menu, though I can see the 8BF file in the Plug-Ins folder. I am using Photoshop CS3 Extended on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer. Any ideas on how I might get this to work?
  12. Sometimes after I DL a mission from the ingame downloader, they wont dissapear from the list. The missions in question are a score to settle, alberics curse and the gatehouse, any idea why this happens? Also, I'm not able to DL special delivery, when I do I get a warning about not enough disk space and copy protected files. *** EDIT I DL'ed all missions, except for special delivery. The problem still remains, is there an alternate location I can get this mission? Anyone else having problems DL'ing it?
  13. Good news, AMD has fixed the OpenGL issue for us!

  14. I recently upgraded my mouse mat to a hard surface version (Razor sphex) to get more accurate tracking and because it was going cheap down my local PcWorld. This evening I noticed that "right click and convert to func_static" was playing up more than usual. And by pure chance I noticed that my mouse was diagonally rocking ever so slightly, which was caqusing the mouse to move when pressing either of the mouse buttons. There was no way I would have even noticed this before because my previous SteelSeries matt was the fabric/foam type. The rocking was very subtle and after finding out which corner slightly proud of the matt surface I lifted the r/h side of the PTFE strip and placed a small piece of cello-tape under it, end result no more rocking (or none that I can feel at-least So touch wood I hope this along with the new keyboard (shift key is much litter to press) also fixes my multi-select-drag issue as well!

I've been considering reinstalling TDS for a wile now... I've still got my original CDs. Have these guys fixed the bug where you get stuck floating? Last time I played TDS, that happened and I was unable to get out of it, so I ragequit.

You can surpass that bug by drawing your bow, performing a shot, and draw your blackjack when the bow is tensioned, to abort the bow shot. I'm hoping it's fixed in the Gold patch too though. Alongside the thing where you move sideways, when peeking left or right.

      @Biker Hmm.

      Build TDM mission in DR.

      Export as portions as ASE

Edit in Blender and export in TDS compatible format

      Import into T3ED

      Edit

      Release TDS mission...

      (or just stick with TDM)

I hope the gameplay is unique to justify him reinventing the wheel instead of, e.g., just forking off of us. The art design looks good.
