Hello,

Just wanted to post to say thanks to all the TDM team and contributors.

I'm really enjoying it.

I was a huge Thief 1&2 fan.

I was really disappointed in Thief 3.

I remember reading posts from many of you years ago about making TDM and I bought a copy of Doom about 6 years ago just for this mod. I've only just had a chance to give it ago.

 

I think you have done a fantastic job! Its got everything that made the Thief games so great and more.

I was going to say something about that, and if its not too cheeky could I politely suggest you sign up with a simplier name? It will cause less consternation when forum members have to reply or quote you. If you have an ID over on TTlg why not use the same name over here :-)

Sorry bout the name, seemed like a good one at the time, like 12 years ago lol. I used it again because it was the name (I think) I used on the ttgl forums and the Circle of Shadow and Stone (?).

I dont imagine I will be posting a lot. I just wanted to say thanks (for what its worth, not much I guess) before I posted asking for hints on how to get through some missions or making comments about some of them.

I'm sorry to say its highly unlikely that I would ever produce a mission myself.

All thanks is welcome and your always welcome around here. If you don't make a mission then you'll be back to ask for pointers when plays mission no doubt :-)

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
