TDM Playstyle Poll

  1. 1. Describe your usual/preferred TDM playstyle.

    • Ghost: valuables disappear, nobody sees anything, nobody gets knocked out or killed. I don't use arrows, mines or similar equipement.

    • Stealth: I mostly avoid guards, but might knock out one or two if they are in a tight spot.

    • Mixed: I knock out most guards, but leave few guards be.

    • Predator: I knock everybody out and hide them.

    • I don't save at all: I restart the mission when I die.

    • I might save one or two times during a mission if there is a particularly dangerous-looking spot.

    • I don't save: I restart the mission when I die.

    • I reload if I die.

    • I reload if things go really bad: have to kill someone, get injured, end up in a difficult spot, etc.

HAHA, yes it can be really challenging, picking them off one by one and sneaking away with the body to not rise maximum alert. The wait till they all sit down again and get the next one. Shooting candles of of tables with normal arrows when you want to spare the water arrows.
I had real fun in Jack's mission  Blood & Metal killing the flames of the torch carrying guards, wait till the get to their normal path again, and then clubbing them from the front/walking towards you, in a dark place XD
It's also a sport to allert more guards, lure them to one place and get multiple with one gass arrow.

There is just one thing I like more then knocking out NPC's, and that is locking them up/out by blocking a door or narrow path with moveables so they won't hinder me anymore in exploring (a certain area).

Is your goal to meet the objectives, or to explore and find everything?

I like to explore, and when it's a really good map I just walk around wondering (after knocking/blocking everyone), and enjoy the build, while  searching for the remaining hidden (in plain sight) stuff. Some missions you just don't want to end : )

That's one of the reasons why I usually knock out everybody as well :)!

Just like some/most? ghost and supreme ghost players I save the game before doing something that might get me in trouble. For me that is being killed, loose too much life, alerting all guards in the surroundings or failing an objectve.
For supreme ghosters the threshold is being noticed.
I guess everyone has a set of goals in mind that are not mandatory, that enriches their overall experience ...

This is such a nice trick. A shame they get alerted in the process..

I also found it's sometimes possible to remove candles from their original place (throw them to the ground) so they don't get relighted.

When I get that mood I go into no-clip + no-detect and fly around the map, sight seeing.

Can zombies that go around to kill everyone also be spawned? ... and how?
That might be quite a scene to observe, like in @Sotha 's last mission where some went upstairs to wreak havoc XD

Yes, and any other AI you want, zombies, skeletons, thiefs, Builder Priest....

Spawning fine, but not always it works as espected it can even crash the game in ocassions. Test it, but save the mission before.

spawn atdm: ai_(what you want)

Without spawn something, with notarget and silbing you can lead zombies and skeletons to the sites where are the guardians or the other way arround.

But this, it's good as joke for a short break in between
