I figured a thread for what I consider the best WRPG of the last 15 years was in order. What faction do you guys prefer over all the others? Preferred builds? Favorite, memorable moments? And for the record I know the game has terrible stealth, but I think any game with pacifist options this much is worth noting here.

I'm wondering if anyone ever checks new posts in the Fan Missions Forums? I've posted 4 questions asking for help for 4 different missions that I can't finish because I"m stuck, and I don't get any help. I posted a question this morning so I don't expect an answer right away for that one. Its frustrating because I would like to finish them. I've read through the posts for each mission and I'm not getting anything from them. If there's someone who could help me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks I guess I'm spoiled from the TTLG forums.

Having finished up a number of voices for LarryG, Gort, and Goldwell, I am open for any other voice work that may be needed. I have gotten great reviews as a Lord, Guard, Scientist, Drunk and Ferrymaster, and would love to put my voice to work for YOU! I’m pretty good at mimicry, having done lines to match one of the Lord voice sets, and could probably match others...pick one and let me try for you. Hi all, me again Now that I've learned how to take screenies on DM (thanks to Aluminumhaste) I wanted to post one that I took but I got an error saying that the image ext that I used was not allowed in these forums, It was .jpg so I changed it to .png and I got the same error again. They're on Photobucket.

I have taken a couple of seminars, and am a vocal D&D DM and deep admirer of THIEF in its many variations. I'd like to volunteer some voice work. If you visit www.everybodyandme.com you can hear my two mini-reel demos from the seminars, and a variety of faux-mercials I've done in my home studio. No hum and clear sound, but I have gotten better with my presentation. Still this early stuff represents me well, and I would love to do a spec reading for you. I also did two web-commerials for LORE, an up and coming pdf/paper/dice RPG, and was one of many voices in the Borg demo for System 47, the LCARS software. All these are linked on my Demo page at the site. I am just getting started in this but have done voices all my life in British, Irish, Scottish and other genres. Please stop in and check them out...I would love to be able to contribute to this great project. I played hundreds of the fan missions for Thief back in the day, and was really thrilled to find The Dark Mod, because it has all the wonderful adventuring flavor of the old days! My booth is running a Spark mike with windscreen, and an AVID Mbox Mini interface. I am on ProTools Lite right now, but trying to install and upgrade to First. This morning I got a cold call from an agency, then emailed me the job spec and as I had a read through alarm bells starting going off. In a nutshell the client wanted skills they weren't willing to pay for or that I even had and the pay for the hours was atrocious bordering on illegal. I just downloaded The Dark Mod (10/10 would dark again) and I'm running into two persistent bugs. One is annoying, the other is game breaking. 1. This bug is signaled by buggy character models, and more or less prevents me from quick saving or finishing a mission. This has been here since the beginning. 2. This one is far more annoying. After trying to download a mission (The Rift) the game has been freezing on me, and I almost always have to restart my computer. I tried uninstalling it, but nope. It seems to happen randomly. Help? P.S. I admit, I'm mildly afraid I may have flat-out installed the thing wrong. But both the TM and St. Lucia worked perfectly fine, except for the first glitch. EDIT : The forum glitched while posting this, and I seem to have three copies of this. ~_~ Apologies.

Afternoon all I am creating a general Windows 10 tech support thread in order to detail any bugs/fixes/tweaks that people come across while using Windows 10 itself or with The Darkmod under Windows 10. I will be updating and tweaking this OP as we go and will provide an index with links to fixes as they come up. This is what I have found since completing the setup of Windows 10 pro on my PC - red - no fix found yet blue - working on fix green - fix found black - reported only Installing: How do I clean install windows 10 - if like me you have an SSD or just prefer to install windows 10 you only have one option and its a PITA (and this is the offiail method from Microsoft)Using the media-creation tool download either direct to a USB stick or an ISO and write to a USB stick via the Win7 USB tool.Backup all your data and then double click on the installer from the USB stick from with in Windows 7/8, and to save time I didn't bother choosing to download any updates(but some users might have to for the upgrade to work). Once Windows 10 is installed, shut down the machine.If like me you have an SSD I would strongly recommend a factory reset of the drive using the manufactures tool or a 3rd paty tool like PartedMagic.Then reboot the machine with your Windows 10 USB stick, and then install windows, when you get prompted (multiple times for a CD key, just click skip). The PC will reboot a few times and after about 30mins you will have a fresh install of Windows 10.Then check 'This PC' and you will find windows is activated.The crucial and pertinent fact is that the reason for installing from the USB stick is that, during the first install a hardware HASH is generated from your existing Win7/8 key & motherboard of that particular PC and then written to said USB stick. This is currently the only way I have found to do a clean install - B.S. I know but, there it is. I figure I'd put my videos of one of the best stealth games ever made with no sense of shame. There aren't enough minimalist runs of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in my opinion.

Hi! I'm working on a new map and am going to describe my mapping progress in this thread. Everyone is most welcome to view and comment the content here. Even better, constructive feedback and help is also appreciated. Not to spoil anyone's fun, I'll be discreet of the mission specifics. Let's just say that the aim of the mission is to perform a jail break. Except that the player breaks in a jail rather than out of one. Mapping started 29.5.2010. At present I'm working on basic geometry and it is almost finished. I'll fix this sometime, but it's easy to fill in the blank. Skybox and city background far from being done well. Do I care? Of course. Am I going to fix it in this FM? Probably not. There is a very unrealistic teleport which happens if you try to jump off the building (or from elsewhere) into the moat. Just pretend it didn't happen and soldier-on. Many things look too clean and shiny... not enough grime. Again... Do I care? Of course. Am I going to fix it in this FM? Probably not. A certain lever becomes magically frobable after certain conditions are met. Not the first time for this behavior in an FM. Solution: Just pretend you loosened it on previous attempts... kind of like when you easily open a jam jar that someone else tried to open for 5 minutes. If you get stuck with locked doors and no key... try harder to find the key! Read the readable items again if needed. ^All that has changed^
