It's a game you play over Facebook where the main mechanic is getting your friends to frob buttons with you. It's different from an MMO like WoW or Eve Online where there's a least a real game to be played.

It's poetic justice because the main company for it, Zynga, a few years ago was hailed like the Justin Bieber of gaming, the biggest new thing that would come to dominant the whole market in the future, and most real gamers thought that idea was a nightmare. How the mighty have fallen now.

It's like when I read the news that like 1/2 of the old Looking Glass Studios staff (well, not sure exactly how many) were now working on browser & iPhone games. Randy Smith's Spider game was sort of interesting but still... They were the ones supposed to carry the LGS legacy, and it looked like they all fell to the dominance of casual gaming. Kind of a downer, but this news gives some hope it won't last.
