Some things are unshakeable, unthinkable, so you gotta divert anger to things youn can actually grasp. Or in this case, maybe you just wanna distract people. Its a wonder to see how cynically capitalism allows for an indsutry to, after decades of bying their way into the legal system, the political sphere, even the cultural and ideological realm (payed intellectuals and propagandists), warp in such a way the public perception of a whole country, irreversibly.

Now people are locked into a fierce dispute about the so called "sacred" right to bear an assault rifle or anti-aircraft machine gun, while in other parts of the world, this is a non issue, something that doesnt concern anyone, because they live in a place that is virtually free of gun violence. And nobody stops to think: what are those people doing, and why dont we do the same here?

I always find it funny how people blame inanimate objects when something like this happens. The guy was displaying warning signs. As usual, no one took them seriously. So of course, video games are to blame. And of course nothing like this ever happened before Doom, except for Brenda Ann Spencer, Charles Whitman, and countless others.
