Did the TDM team removed D3's internal Joypad feature? (tdm works only with systemkey binders for joysicks)

  3. Microsoft, in a bid to ensure users of 7th generation Intel Core "Kaby Lake," AMD A-series "Bristol Ridge," and AMD Ryzen "Summit Ridge" processors stick to Windows 10, ensured that the three platforms don't receive software updates when running older Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 operating systems. A new user-made patch removes this draconian restriction, letting you install Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 on your new-generation CPU powered machine, and receive regular software updates through Windows Update. The patch is open-source, so you can inspect its code, and available on GitHub. The author of the patch, Zeffy, discovered two new functions to system file wuaueng.dll after the March 2017 update for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, labeled "IsCPUSupported(void)" and "IsDeviceServiceable(void)." This library is patched to toggle those two functions "1," telling Windows Update that the CPU is "supported" and that the platform is "serviceable," making it eligible to receive updates. 4. Hey, thinking about starting to play IW again (i played it half way through years ago, but never finished it), and i was wondering if there is like, a all in one patch which fixes support for never OS's (i remember IW had problems with multi core CPU's and stuff), and widescreen high resolution support, bug fixes and stuff like that. I know lowenz wrote here somewhere that he wished for something like the Thief Deadly Shadows gold patch for Invisible War, so i guess something like that doesn't exist, but i thought i'd ask anyway. Maybe someone knows. Oh, and if there isn't the hoped for all in one patch, maybe someone could link me to a page where the needed steps to patch up IW for the mentioned points are described, if there is something like that. Cheers.
  5. i try to add monsters from Quake4 & Prey in Doom3-Roe.. for learning how scripts are working , i removed errors / warnings of maps... doom3 maps do not have a lot but Roe is more buggy... here is a topic in a forum about this : http://idtechforums.fuzzylogicinc.com/index.php?topic=589.msg6310#msg6310 as i have solved nearly all errors , i made a 7z files having corrected files and all maps recompiled . the link to the file is https://goo.gl/c2J1hf the 3 txt files that are also in the exe , are the console log files . there are warning left , some are like false positives , few others are about bugs in models.. i am not able to correct them yet as i do not know a model editor able to import/export md5mesh correctly . to see some big changes , watch the sky in caverns roe....instead of something grey you should see a nice lamp i hope to ear your opinion about it and get last corrected files .
  6. http://www.computerweekly.com/news/450418770/Businesses-urged-to-apply-Windows-patch-to-avert-WannaCry-attacks OK this is aimed at businesses but I doubt wannacry cares who owns the system it encrypts If you are at all concerned the tl;dr is you need the MS17-010 patch on your system, if you use windows update you should get it automatically, not everyone keeps their systems up to date though You can check the details on the Microsoft site here https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/ms17-010.aspx
  7. Attached is a simple patch to 'include/irenderable.h' that allows DarkRadiant (both 2.1.0 and the latest code from SourceForge github) to compile under Linux (specifically, 32-bit Slackware 14.2). With this patch, I was able to compile and run DarkRadiant, but it immediately crashes. More on that in a separate thread. DarkRadiant-compile-under-Linux.patch.txt
  8. I've created a patch to fix the problem where it was impossible alt-tab (or use any other window manager key combos) to switch away from TDM. This patch works for both windowed and full screen modes. tdm-linux-window-manager-key-fix.txt Changes: - It will no longer grab exclusive input of the keyboard by default. This allows the window manager to process the keyboard input and do things like alt-tabbing. To get the old behaviour set 'in_grabkeyboard' to 1 (Exception: Full screen console will now ungrab, previously only windowed console would ungrab.). - In order to get the above behaviour to work in full screen mode, full screen mode initialisation has been modified so that it asks the window manager to handle the window as a full screen window. To get the old behaviour set 'v_nowmfullscreen' to 1 (this will force it to grab the keyboard input too, regardless of 'in_grabkeyboard' or other conditions). I've only tested it on Linux Mint 17.2, 64 bit.

I've found it difficult to find where TDM is listed as #1 on Greenlight. This page ( https://steamcommunity.com/greenlight/ ) has no ranked listing. This one ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=858048394 ) has no visible rank or stats page. Is it my script blocker?

  11. I've been spending the past few weeks adding 64 bit support to the Dark Mod, and finally have something that mostly work. This was only developed and tested on Linux, so a Windows version will probably require some more work still. Things tested: Able to play through the FM "Thief's Den" to completion.Able to play various bits of the training mission. (Was not played exhaustively.)Downloading FMs and switching FMsCompiling for 32 bit with the original build system.Loading 64 bit saves on a 32 bit version compiled from the same source. What doesn't work: AIs are blind as bats and require physical contact or sound to provoke them. (64 bit only)Some AIs stand in the spot while their arms are moving and their toes are lifting, suggesting they're wanting to walk somewhere but failing to. Some suspicious noise does make them to move forward a bit more. The City Watchman in the Thief's Den is a good example. (64 bit only)Melee weapons don't connect at all, both for the player and AI. (both 32 bit and 64 bit)Sky boxes seem to take on random colours based on your location and which direction you're looking. (64 bit only)What's needed to build: CMakeMake sure the following libraries and development headers are installed:BoostCURLDevILJPEGOpenALPNGZLIBX11XextXxf86vmThe souce code downloaded from the Darkmod's Subversion repository.Build instructions: Apply diff to source from the SVN repository.Remove "include/boost". This prevents the older headings from conflicting with newer ones.If your the source code is in "~/darkmodsrc/trunk/" make a directory "~/darkmodsrc/build"Run the command:cd ~/darkmodsrc/build cmake ../trunk -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug If successful, type the following to build the actual game:make If make is successful you should now have "darkmod.x86_64", "gamex86_64.so", and "tdm_game02.pk4" in your build directory. Copy these files to your installation of TDM (or make symlinks).Other notes: Currently the CMakeLists.txt has *x86_64 file names baked into it, but if the file names are fixed, this should also work on 32 bit systems.I've only tested on Linux Mint 17.2 (64 bit).Technically it's still a work in progress, but I'm going to having less time to work on it in the near future, and the remaining bugs that I'm aware of have me stumped at how to find the cause of their problems. Anyway, I figured I'd put it out here, rather than let it languish forgotten on my hard drive. tdm--64bit-wip--2015-08-10.txt
  12. Hey, Every time I've try to use the Full Editor when PM'ing someone, and every single time I get an error. Whoever is in charge of the forum, is it possible that this could be fixed? Thanks Neon
