  1. Hey there! So this is my first post here, and I would need some help for a few things. Here is my goal : I would like to create an original main character, with its own model, weapons, animations and voice acting. The gameplay won't be affected, though. Since the game has a first person camera, it shouldn't be too hard to edit : the only things we can see are the character arms and its different weapons. Thus, I just need to get the skeleton, models and animations, so I can edit them on Maya. The problem is that I am not really used to Dark Radiant yet. Do you know where I can find all of these? Thanks in advance! And sorry for the poor english, by the way.

  3. Anyone have build a mechanical struture like the interior of a mill or a big tower clock with animations that i can use. Because doing something like that its seems alot of time consumption. Thanks
  4. I continue the work on the animations with the new Blender rig. Walkcycle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nozToZMIFR8&feature=youtu.be It's only 2 frames shorter than current animations, so it's rather similar to walk1.md5anim now.

  5. Just put some polish on some animations previously done for TDM for my demo reel and wanted to offer them up if anyone wants them. The walk is totally redone, no more accidental swagger, everything is now animated, forearms, hands, etc and its balanced, with tired/bored/but capable condition attempted. A couple are so different that you might put them in as variations if that would work, i forget. The animations may require a little work to be ready for TDM since i don't think i made sure the beginning and end positions were precisely the same, also, i don't think they started at 0, but 1(for some reason).       He's a pretty cool guy. You ask him to find stuff and he'll usually turn up the goods. A little nosy though...

  8. I've played around with Blender recently and today I wanted to try out animation. It is actually pretty fun! I made a floor-sweeping anim and a prop brush. If the mapper def_attaches the brush onto an AI, they will occasionally swipe floors as they go, rate tuneable with the idle anim frequency spawnarg. If the AI's are alerted, they drop the brushes and become normal. The burshing can also be done with path_anim, but there is the problem that the AI will brush the floor without the brush if they were previously alerted and dropped their tool. Have a looksie: (deleted old videos) Does the team want to include these to the core mod? The anim might be a bit clunky, but I'd still say it is nice flavour and better than nothing.

      I've been considering reinstalling TDS for a wile now... I've still got my original CDs. Have these guys fixed the bug where you get stuck floating? Last time I played TDS, that happened and I was unable to get out of it, so I ragequit.

      You can surpass that bug by drawing your bow, performing a shot, and draw your blackjack when the bow is tensioned, to abort the bow shot. I'm hoping it's fixed in the Gold patch too though. Alongside the thing where you move sideways, when peeking left or right.

      Edit in Blender and export in TDS compatible format

       

      Import into T3ED

       

      Edit

       

      Release TDS mission...

       

      (or just stick with TDM)

      I don't normally even use signatures, but I've used a few to voice my displeasure at what EM is doing to Thief. I'll probably stick with that one until I lose interest in visiting the EM forums.
