  1. A wealthy owner is away for the season, and has covered his furniture in sheets to keep the dust off. A bereaved father has locked up the room where his daughter lived before her tragic death. A shop owner keeps extra furniture covered in a back room or attic. It would be nice to offer a set of sheet-covered furniture for these occasions. We don't need to see the furniture underneath, so generic chairs, sofas, tables, and bookshelf shapes should suffice. An off-white sheet is fine, with perhaps burlap or canvas as alternate skins. Thanks.

      I've been considering reinstalling TDS for a wile now... I've still got my original CDs. Have these guys fixed the bug where you get stuck floating? Last time I played TDS, that happened and I was unable to get out of it, so I ragequit.

      You can surpass that bug by drawing your bow, performing a shot, and draw your blackjack when the bow is tensioned, to abort the bow shot. I'm hoping it's fixed in the Gold patch too though. Alongside the thing where you move sideways, when peeking left or right.

      Export as portions as ASE

       

      Edit in Blender and export in TDS compatible format

       

      Import into T3ED

       

      Edit

       

      Release TDS mission...

       

      (or just stick with TDM)

  2. Hi, I guess the topic say it. I have created a func_static with a decal on it. On the func static the decal shows up fine, but if I export it as ase model the decal is not shown on the model. The decal material is listed in the ase file. So the script recognizes it. I'm not sure what's wrong. Does anyone experienced this before? Does anyone has an idea what may be wrong? Thanks in advance.

Afternoon I have tried making the following model moveable - - models/darkmod/decorative/statues/gargoyle_fetus_pose.ase If I use the atdm:moveable_custom_item enity I get a collision related crash/error on map load, I then tried the old trick of using a different entity that has the origin in the same location and is roughly the same size. I dont understand why Im getting the collision error, as the model as a collision mesh. - atdm:moveable_pot_small but then I have the issue where the item dosent frob highlite. Any idea's would be welcome.

      I hope the gameplay is unique to justify him reinventing the wheel instead of, e.g., just forking off of us. The art design looks good.

  4. Been banging my head against the wall on this, Im trying to edit the D3 cave model that I used in St Albans Cathedral. What I have learned today - how to remove and merge vertices. how to extrude a bunch of selected vertices. Whats whats doing my head in is - moving the model around and zooming in and out is complete unintuative compared to DR. How the hell to a texture paint the cave model, I would like to be able to apply the texture in the same way as you can apply colour via vertext painting.

  5. Made an animated Gramophone from in-game model, I don't know was it or not, but couldn't find in DR, so decide to challenge with scripts and win but after 4 hours of experiments, when planned to spend only 1,5 hour %)

      Its a great model however I agree completely with Springheel. I posted a pic of one of these in your thread XendroX. Ex-gf of mine actually owned one of these and it was eerie to listen to.

  6. Look for my Xendrox's model topic - make wallpaper texture, and even I like result very much.. Looks great like for me :) Want to make carpet and composition become full accomplished

      I don't normally even use signatures, but I've used a few to voice my displeasure at what EM is doing to Thief. I'll probably stick with that one until I lose interest in visiting the EM forums.

    Forums fixed

    Had a problem with the web server yesterday that led to a crashed table in the forum database. This has now been repaired and things seems to work again. I was on travel so it took a while before I was able to fix it. Merry Christmas!

      People thought it was the server migration under Square-Enix that we've been told about, but they came back online like nothing happened, and the dedicated thread about the coming migration had no new info.

      "for some reason" I imagine is you being sarcastic as we all know everybody and their brother/sister are online on Sunday either shopping or looking at porn combined with all the gaming packets.

  14. Does anyone know a freeware model conversion tool to convert ase to obj? I couldn't find one.

      Can't get the latter to run (msvcp110.dll missing). I've tried installing MSVC++ redistributable, but already have the newest version of the 2010 package.

       

      Any suggestions?

      The newest redist may not be the one you need, later sp's don't cover some earlier stuff etc. Guess I could make a new build sometime.

  15. Just a heads up that the header images are now missing from the top of the forum. I suspect due to domain forwarding or something like that?
