What sort of ideas for treasures do you have for the land across the sea? Mayaincatec golden idols and amulets? Ancient relics? Massive jewels found in blood-drenched altars where the natives worship a flying snake covered in feathers? And that's just the southern area. Further north, dark forests where tribes survive the harsh winters in heavily fortified caves, while special fast zombies called Wendigos lurk outside the walls, or bein hired by a mages guild to steal a medicine man's magical trinkets so they can be studied. Maybe stealing a crate of valuable furs from trappers in a Menoan frontier fishing village on the coast.

Sounds more like a modelling idea for loot. We could do with some exotic loot.

You don't need to model things to be able to create fms. You just need to learn how to use the editor and some setup stuff. Much easier then modeling.

You can write some fan fic. Telling a good story will give a lot more ideas and inspiration than asking questions.

So long as things are treated with respect. I wouldn't use the name Wendigo for something like a zombie, for example. The Wendigo is a much greater and more frightening being - you could probably get a whole mission out of trying to avoid the Wendigo's influence or people who have been affected by it, come to think of it.

Offtopic: I still wished there were more FM's that were thematising pagans. I know, there's a lack of models, and also that modelling nature is a difficult thing, still... the pagan levels in the Thief games had a unique atmosphere, and there's also much potential for great stories in the "pagan universe". Already love the hints on "barbarian attacks outside the city" in many FM's. :D

We have a couple AI, but no vocal sets. We have a character model I never got around to rigging that could be added to the game--but rigging is quite a chore, and I don't want to do it when there are no vocals to make the new character usable.

Oh, I don't know how to model. I'm just sharing ideas to inspire those who can.

 

Nothing inspires more than images. Take a look in the Editor forum at the Inspiration thread.

Are there any players from Europe with European accents that could provide voices?

      I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.
