So far I have really enjoyed the missions that are available but I'm wondering are the developers of this mod developing their own single player campaign?

Nope.

I know there are some people that are interested in making a campaign, but there's no effort ongoing to create an "official" campaign.

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

Stay tuned for Politics though, its an incredibly authentically Thief feeling map imo, and a big one.

Thanks for the plug Noisycricket!

Keep in mind me and MD already have the 3 mission followup (each one of which dwarf Politics) already 70% done!

It's a good time to be a thief :D

Awww thats disapointing, I was expecting to be some kind of official campaign by the developers. Well I just hope that there are a lot of fan made missions.

The fact that the team can't make a campaign doesn't mean that we can't, once people get more comfortable with Dark Radiant i'm sure someone will have the will to gather a team to work on creating a kickass campaign :D

I for one would like to be part of a nice campaign, but there are two issues that need to be resolved before I buy myself in:

- Team: I must be able to trust in the campaign team's skills. The idea must be convincing and there must be clear artistic leadership as well as strong teamplay.

- Time: I will need to put back my current role as TDM coder - it's unrealistic for me to do both massive mapping and massive coding.

I can echo this almost in its entirety (if you substitute modelling/rigging for coding).

I barely have time to play the existing FMs and rig new AI at the same time. I'm actually two FMs behind now. :(

I feel bad for you guys, not to be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

I could have sworn back in the days when the DarkMod first started, I remember reading a post where one of you guys (the leader of the team?) said that your focus was on making the DarkMod editor first, and then you were going to work on a full scale campaign (complete with storyline, missions, etc.).

Did you guys change your minds at some point?

I should point out that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the DarkMod. Playing the FMs automatically made me feel like I was playing Thief 2 all over again, and that's saying a lot.

Either way, thank you guys so much for this mod. It feels great to be a kid again. :-D

It was a possibility, but as time went on we realized it was better to focus our efforts on the toolset, otherwise we would have spread ourselves too thin.

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
