  1. The King of Diamonds Info Summary: Your accomplice is in over their heads and needs your help. It's the end of winter and the streets are quiet. Taverns, city watch, graveyards and pipes... you might even encounter a diamond! Build time: about 6 months Type: City FM/Exploration Size: Medium Completion time: 30 mins - 3 hrs, depending on how much you're willing to explore! Download http://www77.zippyshare.com/v/Z1fZy41Q/file.html - Zippyshare https://www.dropbox.com/s/428jkpoi14544pd/kingofdiamonds.pk4?dl=1 - Dropbox Available via the In-Game Mission Downloader! Screenshots Notes This is my first TDM FM, it came about from me learning how to use the editor and all of its different features. No doubt, you may see the variance in quality between the FM's different sections. Have fun figuring out what I built first and last, hah. For the most part, I focused on exploration and interesting readables. You'll find that you can complete the main objective in about half an hour, if you know what you're doing and that's perfectly fine, but if you're not getting lost and exploring, you're missing out! Big thanks to Bikerdude for his help throughout the beta-testing phase of this FM - fixing a lot of performance hitches, putting some bells and whistles and introducing new spaces that allowed me to expand greatly on the FM's readables and objectives. Without those, and my beta testers' further suggestions, this FM would be decidedly more boring! Acknowledgements Mapping credits: Bikerdude - Re-visportalling half the map, SE Maketplace, Graveyard, Bell Tower, SW street, misc. Spooks - the rest. Readables: Spooks Voice work: Goldwell, Bikerdude, Spooks. Beta testing: Aosys, AluminumHaste, Goldwell, Oldjim, nbohr1more Lute songs from No Honor Among Thieves. Breath script from Business as Usual. Technical Info Version 1 Last Updated: 13/05/2016 This mission has a very open layout. Even though a lot of care was taken to ensure performance would be good, it's bound to fluctuate at long view-distances. If you have an average computer expect some dips to the 30s. You have my apologies for that.If you're having FPS troubles, try setting your LOD Detail menu setting to Low. Numerous objects will have their shadows disabled, which may improve performance somewhat. I also recommend typing tdm_lod_bias_changed in the console when you're in-game, just to make sure all LOD entities have been activated. This mission does not support localization out of the gate. This mission requires TDM version 2.0.3.FAQ Stuck somewhere? I've some hints for you in the FAQ section. Enjoy playing and remember to be kind to Birdie!
  2. Author Note: Thank you for downloading and playing the sequel to The Accountant 1: Thieves and Heirs this FM picks up right from where we left off in accountant 1. This is the second part in my three part series following Corbin on his journey to discover who and what the accountant is. This mission is a little different to what you may expect from a Thief mission but still has plenty of classic Thief moments as well. This is the largest mission I have ever built with an average play through lasting between 2 - 3 hours. A few aspects in game are different to what you may expect as well and those are: - Candles are pinchable (frob to put out instead of pickup) - Food has been hot fixed so now it heals you for 10 health points when eaten - Doors that are missing handles means you cannot enter that room/building - All secrets can be found before you enter the sewers As a little piece of fun trivia there is a small cameo in my mission from a very special guest. He is a longtime voice actor in the industry and you may know him from roles such as Deckard Cain in Diablo, Captain Price in Call of Duty, Elder Lyons in Fallout 3, or just about any Nordic character in Skyrim. In addition to all of the fantastic people who have helped me along the way I have personally spent a lot of time, effort and energy devoted to bringing this out to you all so I hope you can enjoy the fruits of my labor and have fun! File size: 358 mb
  3. Is it somehow possible to use a level editor that offers substractive editing mode (as opposed to additive as in Dark Radiant) and convert it to a file format that can be played in The Dark Mod? I mean shouldn't it be possible to generate an additive map algorithmically from only subtractive information? If no, why not? If yes, are there any such level editors?
  4. I think you guys should start showing "suggestions" on the missions memu. You can be like Microsoft and show games or apps the player might like. /s We're not allowed to call them "ads", so we call them "suggestions". https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=windows+10+suggestions+in+start

If we suggest anything, it should be to come to the forums. One of our advantages is we can be a lot more 2-way (through forum discussion) than the 1-way force-feeding of corporations to their audience.

I suppose making a campaign as an individual and building for Thief Gold go hand & hand. You need to be pretty obsessed to do either. XD

I'm just very happy to see how much work still goes on with the original Thief games. Good mods = long life after release!

  6. I'm still alive! The Smiling Cutpurse Screenshots Title: The Smiling Cutpurse Theme: Inn Release: 2016/03/25 Mapper: Airship Ballet Special thanks: Oldjim, Baal and Phi for beta testing this forever ago! Build Time: ~2 weeks This mission has been finished for ages, but I always intended to take it further. This was supposed to be the first half of the third Quinn Co mission, but I ended up disliking how the two came together, so decided to make this its own standalone mission and to go and work on the next Quinn Co. I forgot all about this for the longest time, and only last night came back to tie up the loose ends and make it into its own mission. I made the mission itself as a proof of concept for completely modular architecture. Every wall, floor and ceiling inside the inn is part of a prefab. The rooms, corridors, all of it is modular. I realised how easy it is to create huge areas within minutes, and ended up with a space big enough to accommodate a proper mission. It's turned out pretty well, I think! It's a standard mission, nothing too special. Sneak around, steal things, have fun! As always, let me know of any problems you find, and leave feedback anyway if you're feeling helpful! Cheats I'm already infamous for unfair hiding places. There's no shame in being stumped! I'm totally judging you though. Obviously don't expand spoilers if you don't want spoilers. Where's the vault? How do I get inside? And? ...go on... Where, though? But how do I leave? Where's the sewer key? Download links cutpurse.pk4

  8. Happy New Year! This mission was intended for the 2015 Halloween Contest, but a dead computer kept it from being completed on time. (Thanks to Bikerdude for sorting that out.) After that, I took my time finishing it, so now it can be the first mission for 2016. This mission is a bit darker (light-wise) than your typical mission, so for an extra challenge, you can try leaving the lantern off. Download links: The in-game downloader. Mediafire Special Thanks to: Xarg, nbohr1more, AluminumHaste, Oldjim, Deadlove, and Bikerdude for some great beta testing. Sotha, for letting us recycle his house modules from Lich Queen's Demise. Requires: TDM 2.03+
  9. Hi all, me again Now that I've learned how to take screenies on DM (thanks to Aluminumhaste) I wanted to post one that I took but I got an error saying that the image ext that I used was not allowed in these forums, It was .jpg so I changed it to .png and I got the same error again. They're on Photobucket.
  10. Thought I might as well post up the results of my latest attempt to download a mission, "Crucible of Omens: Behind closed doors". I ran up tdm, went straight to the in-game downloader, selected CoO:Bcd for download, and left it running ... came back to find the game crashed. Here's the console transcript: I'm guessing all the messages from therats are from the previously loaded game, The Rats Triumphant (excellent mission, BTW). The download seems to have been aborted (I did see it at 70% at one point when I looked in to see how the download was getting on) because there's no sign of it in my fms directory. I'll delete the currentfm.txt file and try again... and it worked! Well, that's interesting. Maybe the moral is to unload the previous missing before trying to download missions? Dunno, mission download has been pretty flakey for me in the past.
  11. According to this Japanese site. Even "Weak People" can design missions for TDM: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.nurs.or.jp/~pine/hot-darkmod.htm&prev=search

Nigate, Literally "bitter handed", applied to people meaning "people who are bad at it", but that doesn't really flow in English either.

  12. This is not a promise, nor any kind of pressure on other mission authors to make a specific kind of mission. But I am interested in what kind of missions you would like to see made and released for TDM. I will start with a few I would enjoy. Giant Bonehoard-style tomb-robbing mission. Self-explanatory. Something with a large area to explore, various tombs to break into, a few puzzles and traps to spice things up, and maybe some common thread to link them. I have wanted to make one for a long-long time, but haven't gotten to it yet.Weird Pagan mission: either Constantine's mansion-style craziness, or something that brings out the creepy and unsettling side of Pagans. Maybe even something like The Maw of Chaos.Mines and other underground locations. Rusty machinery, forgotten and haunted sections, flooded areas and so on.There are a lot more kind of fan missions I enjoy, of course (I enjoy most of them), but these are the ones I would love to see more of.
  13. I'm going to make a TDM fansite. I've made hundreds of websites over the years about things I'm passionate about or as a work for hire. I believe it's about time to get myself a TDM one. I can build it. Don't ask for an idea how long it will take to bring it to life. Some notes... 1) Will ask for help for info. to compared with the Wiki or help in geenral (not on html, but with accurate info on Bridgfeport). 2) : What does community thinik of this idea? 3) What is some kind of additional content lacking other game sites? What would members of the community you like to see?
  14. The Rats Triumphant (Halloween Contest 2015 Mission) Download links: MEGA (11 MB) ...and the mission downloader Design notes: The idea for this mission came from an old house in a side street where I go to my daily work. It had been dilapidated as long as I can remember, first as a home for beggars and some fairly disreputable people, then condemned and its windows bricked up, and now finally in the process of being demolished. As I went to my work and back, I could watch it disappear day by day, exposing its layers of construction until finally only one wall remained. But for all its ruined state and inhabitants, it had a simple elegance, and I decided to preserve it in the form of a fan mission. (more on building the mission later) Special thanks: to Bikerdude for multiple performance-related and aesthetic fixes. My playtersters, Bikerdude (again), nbohr1more and Premier.
  15. New missions pouring in! Keep 'em coming, people! =D

  16. submission to the 2015 halloween FM contest build time about 4 days Betatesters - none Custom assets - some wooden coffins and happy pumpkins. uses TDM version 2.03 http://www.belboz.cooldudes.co.uk/doom3/mods/deaddrunk.pk4 Me and four of my associates decided to go to a party dressed as pagans, I drunk too much and passed out, as a joke they put me in a coffin and a few hours later I wake up in some crypt somewhere, with no equipment I must try to escape.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzPpmDK9Fxw Description A client has hired you to investigate and find four paintings he left behind in his old home after fleeing due to fears of it being haunted. Screenshots Download http://www11.zippyshare.com/v/1o0pLask/file.html Author note This is my entry for the 2015 Halloween contest, I originally conceived the idea a while back when I was walking down my street and saw a house that looks similar to the one the player enters so I decided to take a mental note and I would use it later. When this contest popped up I thought it would be a fantastic idea to take a break from my other projects to work on this, because I knew it was going to be small I tried to make the mission challenging in other areas. I never thought I would make a creepy/horror style map but here I am, it was a lot of fun and hopefully you all get some enjoyment out of it too!
  18. Mystical Merry's Metaphysical Mapping Co. Spooks You Again! Thief's Remorse Screenshots Title: Thief's Remorse Theme: Spoopy Release: 2015/10/30 Mapper: Airship Ballet Build Time: ~28 hours My God. I'm genuinely begging you. Next year, either don't challenge me to make a halloween map in a fortnight or sedate me, because, like last time, I'll leave it for my two free days and do the whole thing in one go. It's bad for me. You're killing me. Uh, anyway, here's a spooky halloween map. There's sneaking involved, but it's something more of a rollercoaster than a traditional sneaking map with ghosts. I really wanted to go out there with this mission, since getting a bit creative with Exhumed last year made me realise the potential for some more abstract, bizarre stuff that could be done pretty easily in TDM. It's full of scripted spooks, events, and even requires you to pay attention to what you're told! Depending on what you do, and how much of a monster you are, there's a whole four different ways for you to come out of your trip to Nowhere. It's pretty big, surprisingly so: I got more and more ambitious as I went along, just like I always do. As a result, well, I'm the only person who tested it. So, uh, I'll be around for bug fixing. I mean it's totally playable without issue from start to finish, but I haven't gone around trying to break it in order to release it before Hollaween. Above all, have fun! Download links remorse.pk4
  19. The Golden Skull Briefing: Info: This is my entry for the 2015 Halloween speedbuild contest. This mission was built from scratch in 16 hours between 19.10.2015 and 24.10.2015. I did use some modules I had made previously, but retextured them for this mission. Also, I did have an unused custom AI lying around which was put into the mission. Everything else was created during the contest. Big thanks to Goldwell for his voice acting, and bulbastre on freesound.org for custom sound (127005). Enjoy! 22. I'm wondering if anyone ever checks new posts in the Fan Missions Forums? I've posted 4 questions asking for help for 4 different missions that I can't finish because I"m stuck, and I don't get any help. I posted a question this morning so I don't expect an answer right away for that one. Its frustrating because I would like to finish them. I've read through the posts for each mission and I'm not getting anything from them. If there's someone who could help me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks I guess I'm spoiled from the TTLG forums.
  23. Hello everyone, I can't find a DM fan mission I used to play. You start in a prison cell and the only way to escape is through the ceiling (having the hatch fall down and somehow jump up). Alas, I can't remember anything else. Please, does that ring a bell?
