what bit the readable or the fact he cant sneak for taff...
-
Its the part right after the time index, where he goes to opena door and *hyahhh!!!* a guard attacks from the right, scaring the crap out of him.
-
heh, goog old Demonfrog, we have to give him 10/10 for effort ;-D
-
...that funny moment when you hear a crazy lady screaming profanity like a banshee outside McDonalds... To people who behave this way in public, we *do* laugh at you!
-
So true.
-
I wonder exactly what it is that makes me find this so funny though. Is it because it is so rare? Is it because we expect more mature behavior from adults?
-
Probably because the amount of shit being flipped is highly disproportional to the amount of money spent at the establishment. "The biggest arguments are often over the smallest things". Yeah, the amount of ice in your diet coke is a pretty minor issue, really.

"hickups" are so ****ing annoying...

There is actually a decline in creepy crawlies worldwide, such as spiders etc. Wehich means there is inevitably going to be a rise in insect pests.
-
We went moutainbiking last weekend in Kentucky and these trails were NOT well traveled. We were riding through spider web after spider web through the eerie wood. There was one about every 3-6 meters average. I almost got one in my mouth and another in my eye! When we'd stop riding there were webs hanging off the bikes and our arms and spiders on our handlebars and clothes! It was... wow. Not well traveled trails indeed.
-
A heaping spoon of sugar cures the hiccups right quick...never tried it on spiders though.
-
"snd_sewer", or "snd_keep", which is more awesome? They are both so great! "snd_commons" is used a bit too frequently though...

Is there any way the console could display that? For example, "playing snd_sewer (sewer.ogg)"?
-
I think/hope so. Instead of printing out newAmbient, it'd print out getKey("newAmbient"). I'll try it for 2.02. There's a reason the mapper has to use a local name BTW, even though it's annoying, because the engine likes sounds to be pre-loaded in their speaker with a local name linked to the track... Otherwise I'd have just gotten the tracks directly from their markers.
-
Update: Done. That was easy. Hopefully it gets into 2.01 even.
-
*achievement unlocked* I made a GPU in a laptop reach over 100 degrees C! This was while compiling code. I imagine this laptop would live about twenty minutes if I ran blender on it... lol http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/256123-28-pavillion-dv2500-nightmares-heating-running

*is playing .opus files (the brand new codec) on my hacked mp3 player that was released in 2007* My brand new tablet can't even play .opus, yet old hardware can thanks to the community.

*notices a "test" update on the front page. *tries to run TDM_Update.Linux.*"darn, not just yet!"

Download download download....

Can't play until Friday. But I can probably help crash the servers.
-
Haha, reminds me of the old Ubuntu days, where everyone tried to get the iso right when a new version came out. So, we would try to snag a copy and slip away before the masses realized it even came out and the servers slowed down.
-
97 degrees today... in OCTOBER!

Where are you?? ^^
-
Northern California. We tend to have some hot summers here, but it isn't constant. We'll get a few hot days and things calm down.
-
nice =)

A user has a machine that won't boot Windows anymore. I stick in a cheap thumb drive and up comes an accelerated 3d Desktop, with sound, networking, wifi, etc. User is amazed. They can even play their games on Facebook and watch Youtube. Everybody should have these in case of emergencies...

As long as it will POST and *attempt* to boot from something, (CD, USB, hard drive, Floppy) sure! You don't even need a hard drive in the machine.
-
... and I fixed her machine by repairing the MBR. Before I did this, she had another guy look at it and he charged her $50 without solving the problem.
-
There are always specialists like "you need to buy new motherboard".
-
Ahh the joy of fixing a Core 2 Duo that runs like a K6-2...

Looks like the L2 cache of your Core 2 is disabled. It's almost impossible though, unless you made it in BIOS by yourself or your PC's CMOS battery is dying and, because of this, corrupted the CMOS BIOS values. But, like I said, it's almost impossible. So, what about some virus?
-
Oh yeah, this thing was loaded with malware (its not mine). I got rid of (most) of it. You never know if it is all gone unless you reload the OS though. Stuff like admin tools and all files were hidden. I cleaned that up as well.
-
Those damn viruses and trojans! I suppose right now you're thinking about to change your antivirus .
-
an exercise bike... the *last* thing that should require an external power adapter. Surely riding on the thing can charge an ultra-capacitor, which powers the onboard computer for a wile even if you stop riding?
-
Anyone remember the Cistern part of Amnesia:TDD? Sometimes it is the subtile things that leave a lasting impression in a game and not the (SPOILER!) invisible monster that chases you. wow...

I referred to the voice you can hear in the tank. As you redirect the water to progress through a flooded hall, it goes into the tank. The voice panics more and more. Then when all valves are turned, the voice stops. Creapier than any monster.
-
I don't remember the voices.. let me youtube that!
-
Every "let's play" I've found missed the thing (like I did)

Brand new POS TV randomly displays garbage and restarts while connected to VGA. How does this trash make it past QC? If it turns on, ship it!

Not sure. Upon researching this on the web, I see lots of people complaining about the same tv/problems from forever ago. In a connected era, how do they get away with continuing to sell broken products?
-
If you're lucky, you may be able to feed it a new firmware, possibly via thumb drive if it has a USB port.
-
Interesting idea. I figured it was a problem with the power supply. Indeed it does have a USB port.
-
Broke my headphones, so ordered a new pair even though they may still have a warranty. I probably caused the short anyway.

Broken Geforce 9800GT + heat gun = ... working 9800GT!

Well, I stuck another fan in the side of the case and it brought the card down by 10 C. It idles at 60 now. Guess all we can do is try to keep it cool.
-
I put mine 8800 in the oven a few months ago. Still runs smoothly
-
heh, well done that man :-D
-
Don't you hate it when you go to read a technical discussion, but the comments are full of sheeple saying "My OS of choice is WAY more secure than yours!!11one". If I had the ability, I would BAN all of these people...

Yeah everyone has to turn everything into an argument. YouTube comments are the extreme version of this :/
-
How about writing a Firefox add-on that filters this stuff out of comments automatically? It consists of an AI which can parse coments for their PFF (product fanboy factor) and censor them automatically.
-
Firefox has that plugin called "comment snob", it can be used to filter out spelling and grammar errors so the tech exists- someone just needs to apply it.
-
Don't you love it when hardware breaks the month after your warranty expires? A critical screw (to the backrest of a chair) literally snapped in half. I bet they do this on purpose...

"Those things are timed"
-
"metal screw".
Some time ago I got 6mm screws, they just snap when I tighten them. 30 year old screws are worn and bended, but still work.
-
maybe you should get your screws from MSC.

Even though I NEVER smoke and I have had alcohol perhaps 4 times, they say I have high blood pressure. If I'm gonna be punished even when I stay away from those things, why not just go on a binge? I guess its because Alcohol tastes like **** and smoking ****s up the lungs.

-
I have very low blood pressure, drink like a fish and smoke like a chimney. Yay for me When I've been in the hospital for surgery the doctors always see my blood pressure and say, "ohh! we have an athlete here!" LOL
HBP is generally hereditary.
-
@Lux: +1
-
IMO Smoking would be like getting hit in the groin by a baseball. I do not need to go through it to say that it would be unpleasant.
-
Ever been in a multiplayer game and had 26 frags, but if you add up the scores of your teammates, they only total four? (ignoring the guy with the negative score)

I'm usually the guy with -2. Damn you, wall bouncing my grenades
-
I had 137 kills and 11 death in a round of Battlefield 3 a couple of days ago.
-
BF 3 sounds great, but I dislike Origin. Did someone try out the Razor-Patch? (I mean original BF3 but without Origin thanks to the patch)
-
Ever been playing a game, and the NPCs in a "public" level flip out and start attacking eachother, even when they're not supposed to? I saw that today and it was funny as hell. Oddly enough they still did not attack me.
- Show previous comments 2 more

I've also seen it where an NPC steps on A-2 (the spider bot). A-2 does not appreciate this, so it attacks the NPC. Then near-by security forces attack A-2... and all hell breaks loose... lol
-
I remember one time I was going through the "mole people" tunnels in vanilla Deus Ex, and somehow one of the passive NSF must have gotten hurt by the cat that wanders the area. Suddenly all the NSF in the tunnel were running around chasing and firing at the one cat, and having a lot of trouble killing it because their "marksmanship" was never intended to hit cat-sized targets!
-
There was this funny Deus Ex website, where a fan told you how to cause crazy things to happen. He had UNATCO troopers attacking the vacuum cleaners and stuff. hahaha http://www.it-he.org/deus.htm

Ever find a player in an online game where the two of you cooperate and (as a result) win every SINGLE time? You stick around and help them build a base, then the two of you gang up on the enemy, box them in, and finish them. This is unusual for public games; usually people just do their personal thing even when it is a team game

Yep. It used to be _very_ popular. Some people forked it and are making a version with a new engine/better graphics. It will be interesting to see what else they change, because I do not believe you can take an old game, just improve graphics, and expect it to return to its former popularity. Game play/levels must be changed to make the experience new again... like TDM did.
-
I also recommended TDM to somebody else while playing Tremulous. They said they were going to check it out. I told them about how many missions there are.
-
I dont know this Tremulous, but it looks very similar to Natural selection (2), which you maybe should try out.
