  1. I occasionally get this error when starting a mission using SVN. I'm using the 16x9tv display mode. It looks like some parser is expecting something other than the legal start of a dds file header.
  2. Hello. Since update to 2.07 i´ve played the missions from a to b. I haven´t played all, but i noticed some really strange behavior, which it makes it nearly impossible to play a few levels. I play all levels on hard. Alberiques Curse- The golden book falls through the floor. You can still grab it, but it is "invisible". If you play the level for the first time, it is impossible to get it. For try i restarted the mission and rushed there. In front of me the book fall through the bottom of the altar. King of Diamonds- Two hard crashes. Hard restart from pc. To get in the attic you need a key. One of the main characters wears it. Normally the guy walks through his house. But at my play he was stuck between the chair and the desk in his attic-room. Oh dear. I had noticed via noclip. So, it makes it unplayable. The missionobjective can´t be solved. I retried it several times and the result remains the same. The guy is running at one spot between his furniture. Full Moon Fever - This isn´t really a problem, but it´s not good for your ears. Several levels have this. It´s a a sound problem, maybe bug. You hear close to special light spots a sinus-sound. I own a creative SB Recon 3D PCIe, latest driver, win 7. Better gameplay on my laptop, no disturbing sounds. And on some situations, there are Biep-sound. When an object is "hopping" above the ground. Or a door is opened. Not really annoying, but striking. Many other levels run fine. Few crashes sometimes. I can´t tell what makes that trouble. It could be that "frob" problem again. In most every level objects are falling half the way into the ground. People get stuck. I can´t really tell, but on my opinion, it worked better on 2.05 and 2.06 ... I made a clean installation of the game and made no changes in the adjustments. Except screen resolution and gamma correction. What´s your experience? What do you think? Solutions? Greetings.

Hi guys, through the "cheats" topic I got the idea, that it would be quite useful, if there were tags for missions (the post was about removing the killing restriction in some missions to suit the prefered play style). I don't know how easy or difficult this is, but with them, it would be quite convenient to pick missions with playstyles, environment, etc one does want to use. This could also be expanded to other mission properties. I remember a discussion about climbable drains, handles on doors, that cannot be picked and other things the map author chooses for himself. That way these things would be clearer and as I said before, it is easier to choose missions with playstyles that suit oneself. What do think?

  9. I have managed to lose my 3D camera view, is there a way to centre it back onto my working map instead of it looking away and straight up into the void with no amount of mouse movement shifting it please. Thank you.
  10. I've created a patch to fix the problem where audio would sometimes start popping/crackling when the game starts. And in the cosole this would be seen repeated: snd_pcm_writei 4096 frames failed: Broken pipe preparing audio device for outputI have a feeling that this fix is more of a kludge that works around the issue, rather than fixes it at the source. However, it does appear to work well enough to mask the problem. Changes: -If a call to snd_pcm_writei() returns an EPIPE error it will re-prepare the connection and then try to send the audio data again, but it will also try to send a partial duplicate. The number of frames duplicated is set by 's_alsa_underrun_extrafill'. I've only tested it on Linux Mint 17.2, 64 bit. tdm-linux-sound-fix.txt
  11. So we have a situation where we have some chains/ropes attached to the top of a moving elevator, and is there is a room above the elevator. How do we remove/add the chain/ropes so they done poke into the aforementioned room when the elevator is at its highest position. So one rough idea was - make the chain/rope in multiple parts, so we only have to remove the upper most part that pokes into the room.target said parts with a "func_remove" from the "atdm:mover_multistate_position" to remove the 'chain parts' when the elevator is at it high positionThe issue with the above proposal is we don't have a func_add entity, which I could use to put the 'chain parts' back.

      I've found it difficult to find where TDM is listed as #1 on Greenlight. This page ( https://steamcommunity.com/greenlight/ ) has no ranked listing. This one ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=858048394 ) has no visible rank or stats page. Is it my script blocker?

  12. I created an iron grate that will be frobable, and just like Wiki says, the frob box shape is the shape of my model. The problem is that it will be pretty hard for the players to highlight it, because of the distance between the bars. Basically it looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/au0k3mcvs03jspf/GrateFrob.mp4 Adjusting frob box size doesn't help much in this case. I've tried other options like frob_peer, which works as intended, but the main problem is that even if I use a brush or model to propagate frob to my grate, it still needs to be solid for the frob raytrace to detect it. Materials like nodraw, clip or playerclip don't work, and that grate looks like it should let players shoot and throw stuff through it. I think I had similar problem while playing Biker's WIP, while with frobing an iron gate, so this is a common problem with more complex interactive models. Am I missing something or it seems like we need some sort of special non-solid material like nodraw that will let everything through but collide with frob detection?
