Hello fellow Taffer’s, been a while, last posted here back when I was 16 & now I am 20 years old lol, I figured I would come back knowing ever since then new Fan Missions would have been developed & released for the duration I disappeared into the shadows

Right now I am looking for complete great Fan Missions to play, any kind really, whether Horror or Stealth, I am making a big list of Fan Missions to play & I wanna get down the ones that are really worth my time, underrated Fan Missions are also much appreciated so long as they are complete & stable.

Hey, welcome back! To go off of what Freyk said, they're all great. But some of my personal favorites are: Kingsal's Volta series (Volta and the Stone, and Cauldron), Melan's Penny Dreadful series, Grayman's William Steele campaign (start with "In the North"), anything by Goldwell, the list goes on. Happy thieving!

Check here:

Grayman, Goldwell, Melan, Kingsal, and Moonbo all are acclaimed for having a good balance of story, gameplay and visuals.

The Painter's Wife

Crucible of Omens: Behind Closed Doors

Penny Dreadful 3

are missions that are VERY large and rich with content.

I'm particularly fond of the Spoonman mods because of epic scaled castles and lots and lots of guards lending to plenty of tense moments hiding in the shadows and darting out of sight when possible.

Full Moon Fever

King of the Mountain

The Ravine

Recently I've been playing a lot of short missions. Somehow I've got no appetite for huge sprawling campaigns anymore. If you're in the mood for a simple, well-constructed, and small mission the two I had most fun with lately are The Outpost and In Danger of Judgment.

My missions:           Stand-alone                                                      Duncan Lynch series

Down and Out on Newford Road              the Factory Heist

The Wizard's Treasure                             A House Call

                                                                                                  The House of deLisle

If you are here because TDM differs from modern games, i would start with the oldest missions.
They feature less streamlined gameplay and less modular geometry. They are basically more rough and less rounded from the flow of time. Modular building and "you found N of M secrets" wheren't a thing back then.
They are less rich in eye candy too - but they still look good and profit from soft shadows and SSAO.

Secrets in missions started in Thief: The Dark Project which came out in 1998. So that’s definitely not a new gameplay thing.

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
